I lost my fuel cap so I got this as a replacement. It fits perfectly on my 1998 Camry. Only giving 4 stars instead of 5 because it screws SO tightly that it's very very difficult to remove when I need to get gas. To deal with this, I don't screw it in all the way till it clicks, just tight enough to seal.

The fuel cap needs a gas-tight seal for the emissions controls to work right and the vehicle to pass an emissions test. This cap is really tight to release, which seems strange. If it is not engaging properly, the pressure seal may not be energising correctly either.

Really Guys?? This cap wasn't the cheapest available but Stant has a good reputation. Ordering off Amazon for car parts can truly be an adventure, especially when the brand names sound like remote constellation names. I had confidence in the Stant name but the application, as always as provided by the vendor, can be sketchy. In this case, the fit for a 2002 Suzuki XL7 with a 2.7 ltr gas motor, seems simply like a reach for more revenue by the seller. So after 6 weeks waiting for the delivery, the $2 cap from wreckers from a Honda on my Suzuki had been working fine. On arrival, this Stant came out of the box with a "Diesel Fuel Only" label. Really? I perfectly comfortable that it works fine on my 2.7 ltr Suzuki Vitara. But you'd think that for $20 and 6 weeks of waiting that it would arrive maybe with Stant or Righty Tighty, Lefty Loosy or Have a Nice Day or something or nothing written on it. So...sure. It went on fine. No check engine light. Works fine, I guess, as you would expect a fuel cap to work. But why not send one that carries no doubt that it applies to the vehicle stated in the order. The label will rub out with some magic potion. But I'm going to keep it on, just to confuse motorheads.

Purchased this cap for an aging 1998 Toyota Corolla; original Toyota cap broke in 2 at a fill up. Works great, price is good @ 16.21 The quality is impressive
