Great for Iron Rangers, Desert Boots, and Bags!
I bought this to condition my Iron Rangers. I’m not in the camp that you should baby your boots but I do think it’s important to keep the leather moisturized and oiled, especially because I live in a dry climate in Utah. I have the IR Copper Rough and Toughs, #8085, and I love the russet color and patina it creates and I was so worried about permanently staining them into the amber harness color. After exhaustive research, I couldn’t find a way to keep their original color. So what I came up with is I only use this on the toecap and heelcap, only using one generous layer. Yes, it makes it darker but it only lasts for a few weeks. I use the Red Wing boot cream for the rest of the shoe and it barely makes it darker and preserves the rest of the patina. I love this combination and do it if I notice they’re getting really scuffed up, or else just every 6 months. The leather conditioner doesn’t leave the leather waxy or greasy, but just makes it feel “wet” and soft. It doesn’t rub off on you or your clothes. It will give whatever you use it on a matte finish though, so don’t use it on anything you want to polish or give a shine to. I really love this leather conditioner and use it on my leather bags as well. I also use it on other shoes and I attached photos of it on my clarks desert boots. You can see if makes them noticeably darker. I wear the desert boots a few times a week and the color fades fast so I usually apply the conditioner ever month or two. Those boots are so old and have been worn heavily but the conditioner really saved them and makes them look so much younger!

Great product! Perfect for legacy Red Wings!
So, I recently bought a pair of Red Wing oro legacy moc toes and naturally started looking for a conditioner/protector for my beloved new boots. I researched for way longer then I probably should have, and just couldn’t find anything that I liked. I didn’t want something that was going to change the color dramatically, but I wanted something substantial to protect my boots. I finally settled on this Red Wing legacy all natural leather conditioner and I have to say I couldn’t be happier with my decision. It does darken the leather a little but not as much as I thought and I actually love how it looks, it enriches the color of the boots and starts to lighten the longer it is on there. It definitely leaves a waxy feeling of protection maybe not as much as others may, but it gets the job done. I wore my boots out in the snow after applying the conditioner and a protective spray and the snow just fell off like it was being repelled, leaving the boots completely dry as if I was walking in dry weather. Overall very happy with this product and would recommend it to anybody with a pair of Red Wings.

Helped bring my beloved Red Wing boots back to life and protect them!
I've had these Red Wing boots for around 15 years and they've been my trusty ally through building demolitions, renovations and heavy landscaping activities. They've taken a beating and never received the love they should have, as I've never once polished or really cleaned them other than a hose to the sole. I decided now was the time to try to bring them back to life. After a good deal of research, I settled on a two part combo. The first part involved using saddle soap to do the cleaning and secondly using Red Wing Heritage All Natural Leather Conditioner to come in and finish off the job enhancing the color and protecting the boots. I started first by brushing off the boots with an old toothbrush and a soft bathroom shower brush to remove any loose dirt and debris. You can see in the photo just how rough the leather was. With the boots clean from debris, I used a wet clean rag to carefully apply the saddle soap and instantly I could see the boots come back to life. After letting the boots dry I followed up with the Red Wing Heritage All Natural Leather Conditioner to help provide a protective barrier and complete the job. Red Wing Heritage All Natural Leather Conditioner was easy to use. I simply used a shoe applicator and dry cloth to apply it directly to the dry boots in small areas slowly and methodically, making sure to cover every bit of the leather. I then let it dry and went over the boots with a horsehair brush to give a bit of a shin to it. Any smells were mild and the cleanup was easy. I only applied a single coat but I could have done more if needed. The size of the container provided was a great value for the cost and will last for several cleanings. I liked that the ingredients in the conditioner were all natural and didn't contain any chemicals that may harm the leather over time. Pluses + Reasonable cost (and this saved me money from having cobbler do it) + Good sized container, good for several items + Easy to use, just apply with a dry and clean cloth or applicator, let it dry, then rub + Amazingly renews the color of the leather and protects it + Natural products free of chemicals are better for leather and the environment Minuses - None as of yet

Works very well
I have a new pair of Red Wing 1907s that I have been breaking in for a few weeks. The boots are great - but they are....a little hard on the feet at first. So after 3 weeks of walking in them, it was time to clean them a bit and apply some conditioner. This softened them up considerably, and really made them look nice. Perhaps darkened them a tiny bit, but nothing to complain about. Mostly, it made the leather softer and easier to wear. Highly recommend.

I would recommend this to anyone looking to condition, restore, or lightly weather proof their leather goods.
I bought this conditioner to go with my Redwing boots, but I have since used it on at least 5 other leather items of mine and it has been wonderful on all of them. The consistency of the conditioner is a bit like waxy petrolium jelly at first, but with a moment of just the body heat of your fingers it quickly works itself into a versatile almost soapy liquid. It is easy to work into crannies of leather with just your bare fingers and the difference after it is done is like night and day, I think. Leather looks healthier and it really amplifies the natural grain/finish of the leather. More burnished leather shines, and unfinished leather takes on a dusky, almost wood like appearance. I've used this on 3 pairs of boots, 2 belts, a knife sheathe and a few straps here and there, and there is still about half of the container left. All in all, I am very happy with this conditioner and will probably buy a bigger tin next time. It's a versatile leather treatment that restores worn leather and makes new leather look lovely and feel like butter. I wish I had used this when my boots were brand new. It probably would've helped out a lot with the break in period. I would recommend this to anyone looking to condition, restore, or lightly weather proof their leather goods.
