Great Barbecue Seasoning!
I bought quite a few seasoning and most were too salty or too smoky. I loved this one. It is the perfect barbecue seasoning.

My Family Went NUTS Over This Blend - and NO SUGAR ADDED!
Do you know how hard it is to find a BBQ blend with no sugar added? Well, I suppose you would only know that if you did not want sugar in it. Anyway, when I found this, I did not expect much. When we actually used it..WHAT IS THIS LIKE?This comes in a foil bag that is resealable. It has spices mixed in it and no sugar added. the powder is brick red color and the smell is heavenly.HOW DID WE USE IT?We used this for a rub. We had chicken legs and rubbed the spice on the legs and let them sit for a bit and then put them in the smoker we have.HOW DID IT PERFORM?The entire family went nuts over this blend. The taste was fabulous. It is the perfect balance of flavor and spice. It is not too hot and not too spicy, yet it is loaded with flavor too. We don't mind heat or spice, but I wanted to point that out for anyone who does.THE BOTTOM LINEThis spice blend is fabulous if you love BBQ but you can not have sugar or don't want it. It makes a great rub, and also would be fabulous in a marinade or sauce too. It makes great seasoning for popcorn or potato chips too.MY RATINGFIVE STARS. This is a winner and I would buy it again for sure. The whole family feels that way and that is not always the case in my house. We all don't always agree on things like this.

Delicious Blend That Spices Up Boring Entrees and Meals
This BBQ seasoning spice has a wonderful smokey, almost mesquite style flavor, along with a bit of tanginess and a slight bite that is very good. I believe the smokey flavor comes from smoked paprika, which is new to me. This brings a grilled flavor even to foods cooked indoors in the oven. It's not overfilled with salt, although it does contain some of course, but has a very nice blend of spices and herbs that work wonderfully together and make hum-drum entrees “pop”-such as oven baked chicken. I added a bit more after flipping the chicken pieces in the oven, and then a touch more salt. It turned out terrific, and everyone enjoyed it.I'm happy to have this seasoning blend, as sometimes I can get stuck in a same-old/same-old cooking rut, and it's great to have a convenient and very well premixed blend of seasonings to add some zest to my routine meal offerings. I think besides the flavor, one of the things that sets this blend apart is the ingredients consist of a lot more spices and herbs than salt, which many manufacturers seem to like to use as a filler because it's cheap. This is a great blend of seasonings. Thanks for reading.

Very basic barbeque spice without a lot of salt or sugar
This works well for chicken in the oven. I rubbed some breasts with it, then sliced it when it was done and it was very nice as a main course. The mix I received tasted fresh and potent. It has a beautiful color. It's easy to use as a rub, and it's fairly mild so the entire family should be able to eat it, as heat isn't an issue. IF you like it hotter, just add some cayenne on your own to it.It doesn't contain a lot of salt -- it does list it in the ingredients but it's mostly basic spices. It has a lot of mild smoked paprika in it. It does not contain sugar- if I were going to use it as a rub on a pork butt I was smoking, I would slather it in mustard first and add brown sugar to this spice mix. It's good but not particularly adventurous.I would not pay much more for it per ounce than for decent smoked paprika though.

Dry Rub or Seasoning For a Variety of Dishes
The Spice Way's barbecue seasoning blend is not only good on meats but also more assertive fish (salmon, for example) and vegetables (cauliflower.) The blend of smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper is a common flavor combination -- and easily prepared by yourself out of your spice cabinet. What you're buying here, though, is convenience. Just pour and rub onto meat before grilling. Or sprinkle liberally over fish before baking. Or toss with hot vegetables just before serving. My only complaint, and it's a small one, is that the garlic powder is too strong, lending a slightly bitter aftertaste; the blend could be tweaked (or the garlic powder better sourced) for balance and to not overpower the smoked paprika, the most distinctive component. Since I love smoked paprika, I want that flavor to stand out more.-- Debbie Lee Wesselmann

I made chicken, but it would be equally delicious on Steak, seafood, or a Cheeseburger!!!! Excellent Flavor with just the right amount of Spice!!! Chicken was so much more moist and tender than normal too!!! Big Hit with everyone, will be making this often!!! Thank you!!!
