Q: Is this a good size for filtering cork out of Vintage Port when the cork crumbles?

I use it for sieving Sloe Gin and works very well leaving the liquid clear so would think it would be fine for Cork

Q: Would this be suitable for decanting port and catching the sediment?

Yes it is suitable for pretty much anything being high quality stainless steel the mesh filter is fine but sediment will still pass, I put a size 3 coffee filter into the funnel, works a treat for infused vodka etc.

Q: Does this come with the metal strainer shown in the pictures? Or just the plastic one?

It comes with both strainers - one metal for the base of the funnel and a nylon type one to fit inside the bowl of the funnel.

Great gadget

Great little sieve / funnel! No spills and the super fine mesh insert quickly turns it from a funnel to a sieve. Perfect for making gravy, transferring meat juices to the pan then serving amy veg/herbs for super smooth pan gravy!
