The picture indicates that the pins only go in the direction of where the clip will hold the papers. Can this be adjusted so I can push it on a wall?

These are only for cubicle walls that have the cloth layer. You shove them downward in the cloth and it holds secure. You cannot stab them directly into the wall.

Can these be used on cork boards?

They can, but I wouldn't recommend it. Push pins would be a much better choice for cork boards.

How many come in the pack?

20 come in a pack, 5 each in frosted colors of purple, green, cream and gray. Hope this helps!

Would these work on a foam board? Like the trifold kind you use for science fairs?

Depending on how thick it is. It may puncture through it. I would error on the side of caution with these.
