With a much wider & taller toebox than our traditional lasts, the Winter last allows the foot to maintain proper circulation even when thicker socks are worn. Our winter last is the standard for winter cycling footwear.Ecco Vegetable Tan LeatherWaterproof Membrane Liner3M Thinsulate Toe BoxVibram OutsoleTraditional Laces

NOT Waterproof
I'm sad. I like the way these boots fit, but they are not at all waterproof, as advertised. The second time I wore them my feet were swimming in slushy, melted snow water. Now I get why they are called "Lakes." (Because of all the water that accumulates in the boot.) I would be okay with this if the boot were not so expensive, plus the cleats you have to buy separate. Not a good value. Nice looking, not remotely waterproof. Should say, "Water attracting,"

Great boot for weak ankles
The fit is just right, I wear a lace up brace on both feet and with tighting the boot laces, it’s lower eyelets on the boot (not the metal ones) look like they will wear first.Other than that I’d give it 5 starsIt takes a little work to cut out the bottom SPD area, have a new blade before starting!

Perfect for my needs
The boots are comfortable, warm, and look good enough that I can wear them when I reach the destination (don't need another pair of shoes). You have to cut out the boot bottom to use cleats, which takes a bit of time. But, unlike many of my cycling shoes, the cleats are then sufficiently recessed that they don't interfere at all with walking. Buy at least a size up so that you can wear extra socks.

Warm flat feet
They support my flat feet, keep them warm as well. I primarily ride on the silver comet trail, so these are perfect for me!

Too nice to ruin by bike riding in them
These are bicycling boots but I love them so much I am going to wear them as everyday boots. They are beautiful, surprisingly comfortable, and sturdy. Fit perfectly.
