For the more into it model builder.
Purchase this due to my wishing to have a nice size SPIRIT OF ST. LOUIS model. Yet while this one is a good size it will need major construction and assembly. Like building the real thing yet in miniature. So have yet to do it.I'm better with less intricate model assembly. But for those who like to build like from scratch with much detail this would be a good item.

NOT a toy, but a Balsa airplane kit--and a good one.
Having rediscovered my childhood, this is the THIRD Dumas '200 series' kit I am building in the last three months. Applying the skills / corrections I learned in the first two, this one is even more enjoyable to build and has better workmanship on my part. Still in the middle of it--a picture will follow when it is done.NOTE WELL: this is not a child's toy, but an intermediate level kit for someone interested in balsa-wood airplane construction and who may want to fly it. If you are / have a 10-12 year old who wants to fly balsa airplanes, look into one of basic 'profile kits' (from White Wings, for example).
