What a great book, a task in itself to try to compile the history of a vital region in 888 pages raging from the history, governmental stuctures of the different countries from Algeria, Egpt ,Iran,Iraq, Israel, to Saudi Arabia etc. My only regret is that it wasn't more pages to the book.

It’s very informative, but it’s soooo dry.

Middle East Politics was a HARD class, but Ellen Lust's collection helped me to understand better what's been going on over there, particularly in Egypt, Tunisia, Iran, Iraq, and Jordan. Excellent!
