Great antenna, even better price.
Great product. The nuts that hold it onto the mirror bracket are 10mm and 11mm. You'll be better off with a open ended 11mm for the one side. The base of the antenna kinda blocks a standard deep 11mm socket. If you don't have one though you should be fine. This antenna cable is plenty long, nice and thick, and one end has a 90 degree. That end plugs into your tuner/radio. The other end is straight and screws onto the antenna at the bottom. TRAM gives you a rubber sleeve that slides over the joint where the cable meets the antenna, it fits perfect and protects the joint from water. These antennas work flawless on tractor trailers and other RV/Delivery type vehicles with high roof lines. The end of this antenna is the standard for almost all receivers, even the older models. The only ones it will not fit are the receivers that have the pink plastic housing around where the antenna plugs in. The style antenna that comes with most tuners like the Onyx, Starmate, etc. will work on RV's and rigs but sometimes have spotty service. Great product, you won't be disappointed.

Great Product
My husband is an OTR truck driver and had problems with losing his XM signal a lot. I bought this for him to try to help boost the signal, and he loves it. He says he hasn't lost signal since he installed it on his semi mirror, and it was easily installed. He drives all over the Eastern US and is in a lot of mountains and rural areas. Works great!

Very Reliable Antenna for Semi Trucks
I had the same antenna for 5 years and it worked perfectly as I drive across the US. On one occasion I replaced the cord because I broke the connector that attaches to the radio. A few years later the same thing happened and I ended up buying a whole new antenna since it costs about $10 more than the replacement cable alone.

I drive a truck with alot of regular routes, have several dead spots in those routes. Just installed this new external, currently out in the middle of bfe, and have. 3 strong signal bars. Will update my rating when go through. Some of my regular. Dead spot routes. Update, went thru some bad dead spots and never dropped a signal, went down to 2 bars but never lost any music. Only thing is mounting bracket, thin metal, but besides that works great. Same intena cost 70.00 at truckstop, 40.00 on Amazon. Giving it 4 stars(brackets)

Bad reception
Looks good, but gets horrible signal. This pic was taken in clear weather, with no interference. Buy a magnetic one like it comes with. My magnetic one worked 100% better, only problem was it rusted out. Still gave full bars. Lol

10 Stars - Worth Every Penny
So my situation is a little different than what most will use this satellite antenna for. I do not own a semi truck, but a Jeep.I recently installed an all aluminum roof rack, and an all aluminum roof top tent on my Jeep. I overlooked the fact that this addition would ruin my satellite reception.I initially purchased a cheap satellite radio antenna, and installed this on top of the tent. The reception was virtually zero. The radio was constantly looking for reception, even in an open parking lot with zero obstructions to the sky. With a little thinking, I was curious how long haul truckers deal with satellite reception. This antenna IS the solution.I ran this through eastern and central Massachusetts, then up into the white Mountains of New Hampshire. The only areas where I lost reception would be where I expected to. I am not sure if any satellite radio antenna can penetrate a granite mountain. This antenna is a 10 out of 5, excellent reception (better than factory), and to be honest the price really is worth the satisfaction of not listening to commercials or subpar audio quality found on regular old FM.Have a reception issue? Buy this antenna!
