I have an 8 year old granddaughter that prefers to play games on the phone, but this kit has changed things up. She loves spending time drawing and sharing her work with me, she is enjoying all the colors and the way the kitchen is made, she loves keeping it in order. The color variety was very good. Everything in the set was of great quality, very durable & definitely a great value. All the pencils are the perfect softness to flawlessly create & adding depth & dimension through various shading techniques.

When I decided to get started with adult coloring books I wanted a good set of pencils to start with. This set certainly fits the need, but it's of varied quality.The main reason I purchased is for the colored pencils. There's a nice selection of colors, but I found the quality to be less than I expected. I'm not an art major so I could be wrong, but in my understanding, colored pencils should be in the realm between crayons and oil paints. They're cleaner and more precise to work with than oils but should have better coverage and blending capabilities than crayon. What I found with these pencils is that they seem harder than I expected and when I color they don't smoothly and thoroughly fill a space; instead they leave it looking like it was done in crayon. One other knock here is I wish they would have put in at least one colorless blending pencil. But for the price, what do you expect? You get a bunch of colored pencils and a case to hold them neatly.Plus, there's the inclusion of sketching supplies. The kit comes with several types of lead pencils, some blending stumps, a pencil extender, a sharpener and an eraser, and a sketch pad. The pencils also fit in the case. So, this set is a very good value since it provides for both coloring and sketching. Again, I'm not an art expert, but I tried out the pencils and I think they're higher quality and more effective in delivering what you need for sketching than the colored pencils.So, three stars for a good selection of average-quality colored pencils, and one star extra for the value, the sketching pencils, and the case. Learn cheaply with this set, then move up if you want to get serious. Because of the way everything fits together in the case and the variety of items included, this would make a good gift for budding artists.

I am new with drawing and I’ve read good reviews about this set. It’s a good set to start with, it contains the materials needed for your drawings. Variety of color to choose from. So far it was a good purchase.

This set has a wide variety of pencils, markers and more. Great that it comes with a sketch book and watercolor pad so you don't necessarily have to buy paper to use this set unless you want something bigger or more paper. All items appear to be well made and decent quality. The zippered case with a place for everything really makes this easy for storage and to keep up with. Very giftable and very fun to use. Really, really great art set!

The color variety is excellent. They are durable and they are so sharp. The colors range from bright to light. They are soft and functions well.
