Bought for my teen cousin and she loves it and reads it twice daily. I’m taking part in raising her and ensuring she knows God and has inner beauty to go with her outer beauty. This is a fantastic tool to guide her in my absence and give her day to day wisdom.

When an author writes from experience, the book comes over as being much more real. That is what this book is ..... REAL! She had a mentor (older girl) when she was a teenager, has taught many and now has a young adult daughter of her own.There are 150, one page devotionals so they are short enough to read before school/life each day. Each one has a scripture, devotion and reflect/challenge section. Page 17 is "Honor Your Parents". No matter "whether the relationship is wonderful or challenging, the Bible commands us to show honor to our father and mother". Many devotions address the dangers of 'perfection'. Don't compare yourself to the 'perfected' photos online. Uplifting as well as challenging. I LOVE the warning not to let tragedy consume your thoughts i.e. don't constantly be watching the news.Find help with deciding what to say when sharing your faith. What does a cow have to do with meditating on the Bible? Find out on Page 78. Reinforces the fact that sex is best saved for marriage.At the end of the book you will find the Index of Topics. Depending on the maturity of your child, this book may be more suitable for a child older than 13. I received a copy of this book from the publisher. That has not influenced my review. Thanks, Liz

I'll recommend this book for even younger children. Very relatable, love it so much. My girls love it too, they can relate to the short story for each day reading.
