I detected a massive fight between good and evil on this CD
I would have given it 5 stars, however the content was a departure from past works and a touch too dark. I detected a massive fight between good and evil on this CD. I've been listening to a great deal of Christian Rock of late, and this CD is eye opening and audibly intense. Sarah Anthony's vocals are very passionate like Lacey Sturm's ( Flyleaf and her solo debut- Life Screams) and Dawn Michele's of Fire Flight and might I add Lzzy Hale of Halestorm, be it a different genre of music styles. Mark Anthony's guitar work touches the soul. The drums sounded a bit programmed, but still good. I will highly recommend this to all The Letter Black fans old and new. Might take a couple listens to understand where the band is going musically. Enjoy!

Music done right
I was introduced to "The Letter Black" recently by a friend, before this release came out, and I listened to a teaser of a few songs before it released. I usually am not into music with growls (only on occasion), but The Letter Black does it perfectly on Pain. All the songs are amazing, and they flow well (as far as song order).Very highly recommended.

Rocks not dead!!! Their best effort to date...
I loved every bit of this album, from the screaming to the more mellow and chill bits. I've been waiting for Sarah to shine by herself, and that's what she does here. As soon as I heard some of the songs off the album, I had to buy it. It's a bit Firefight, In This Moment, and Love and Death blended together. Very well made album. Support the band and pick it up.

Heavyness
Bring the heavy!!!! Sarah screams on this album, and she is very good at it, there is even some industrial noises going on too. I already liked them but now with the added heavyness I love them, way to go!

TLB rocks once again
This was a gift but we do own the other releases as well from TLB. Their music is in the genre of Disciple and Red. One of the few heavy bands out there fronted by a female. If you are a fan of Flyleaf you will like this as well.
