The domed lid allows for continuous basting, creating incredible tender coq au vin, pork shoulder or vegetarian entrees. The rounded sides and flat base provide ample room braising room; the vented lid prevents boil overs. Crafted with Umbrian clay, an earthy terracotta material found only in the Italian alps. Food safe glaze is lead-free and cadmium-free. Andrew Zimmern cookware is safe for gas, electric and ceramic cooktops using medium-low to medium settings.
