I bought mine around just before CV, so 2019. Its lasted very well considering the price. It needs to be replaced and since the price is good and it was comfortable enough and I was happy with it, I'm now looking for a replacement. I've looked at alternative slightly more expensive replacements, but I feel with this I know what I'm getting (unless off-course the quality has changed the last few years?) The only thing that confuses me is the mattress I bought, has/had a higher height before it showed signs of needing replacement than advertised unless I'm miscalculating. I have a fractured spine so I was extremely pleased by how comfortable it was with my physical ailments.

Would this mattress be okay as spare on the floor?

It would be like just putting a normal mattress on the floor. Once it is out of the box it does not roll back again.
