Milwaukee2785-20 M18 FUEL 7 in. / 9 in. Large Angle Grinder (Tool Only)

This this is awesome! Great addition to my cordless tools. I use this for light grinding or with a cutting disc and it has plenty of power! For heavy grinding or big jobs I still use my 9" corded grinder. Note: I run a service truck and work on commercial trucks and trailers so this tool gets used almost daily and saves me from having to fire up my welding machine and run cords when doing roadside work. I recommend a high output, high capacity battery to get the most out of the tool. Highly recommend!!!

I’ve now cut an old cast iron tub into many pieces, block, brick, tile and plater walls. This thing is a monster! I’ve got two 8.0 batteries and 6 5.0 batteries. I went through both 8’s and one 5 cutting the tub but it did the job with ease! 1950’s tubs are super thick in places. Also cut 5/8 rebar and 2” black iron gas piping

This is like most of Milwaukee tools I’d you’ve used them, a simple absolute beast!!! Best battery powered, large angle grinder in the industry BY FAR; I’d even go as far to say best LAG in the industry PERIOD.

I have the 4" and 6" so i just wanted to complete the set. :-)

I used this grinder to EASILY cut through the THICK REAL STEEL frame rails of a 65 year old Ford Medium duty truck to liberate the rear leaf springs update....you probably need to purchase the 12 amp hour battery for this grinder. My 9amp battery got hot and shut down a few times during the cuts I made. Once a Milwaukee battery shuts down from heat it takes A LONG time for it to reset and work the grinder again. I also had a 5amp battery and actually depleted that 5 amp on this project and the 9 still had not reset. Almost an hour later I looked at the 9amp again it apparently had reset, its charge lights showed 4 leds indicating a full charge and it powered the grinder. Maybe the 12 amp battery wont heat up so easily.

High quality tool. Works great.The challenge is finding the other guards (each blade type might require a different guard) & accessories (sanding option). Milwaukee web site is no help. I wrote Milwaukee & they sent the part numbers. Had to drive to a Milwaukee Service center to order.Why not sell the grinder with all the accessories as an integrated deal?

I bought this for cutting steel at work and the thing is a beast it out preforms my coworkers 9” stihl battery cut off saw with ease. I would recommend using 12.0 batteries if you plan on using it for long periods of time. This thing drains batteries pretty quickly. I have 3 12.0 batteries and I got through 2 1/2 of them in a day when using it all day.
