Love!
I’m not sure if these were for decoration or practical use, but I’m enjoying them to cook with!I’ve stained one with pasta sauce but that’s ok, I knew it was going to happen and I was too lazy to wash my plastic spoon, lol. They come raw so maybe a coat of food safe wood finish would be advisable, which I’ll be doing this weekend, but other then that, they are super cute and a good product. My preschool students compliment them all the time while I’m making meals!💜

Lovely
Very pretty. We don't actually cook with ours, but they look and feel very nice. Great details.

Pretty and functional
I ordered these as a gift for my mom. She loves them. I took off one star because the engraving on the “HOME” spoon is noticeably off to one side. The designs are not as dark as the photos, but they are very pretty. The spoons are sturdy.

Almost Too Pretty To Use
These wooden spoons are beautiful. What a nice addition to your kitchen or totally giftable. Made of a light bamboo these are better than I ever expected. Harmless to nonstick pans, these wooden utensils need to be hand-washed, as I do all of my wooden spoons.I have never had such a beautiful set of cooking spoons, mine are always so plain. These are almost too pretty to use. I would season with oil first to ensure that no sauces stain the spoons.

Pretty!
I had a friend over last night and she brought two types of salad. I don’t have dedicated salad servers… but I had THESE! And they worked perfectly. They are all a different type of spoon/spatula for different uses, but any of them work for salad.I love the designs. They are simple enough to handwash.

Look great but engravings make make spoons less food safe
Bamboo has become a fairly popular material for use in kitchen utensils in the past few years. It’s biodegradable and 100% renewable. It doesn’t use toxic chemicals or pollute much at all during manufacture. It won’t scratch your cookware like metal does and it won’t melt or give off chemicals like plastic might. It’s stain resistant, doesn’t absorb water easily and is harder than most natural hardwoods. According to the USDA, Bamboo’s hardness and low porosity makes it naturally resistant to bacterial growth. This gives it an advantage over normal woods when used for culinary purposes.Enter this set of Bamboo kitchen utensils. This set of decorative bamboo spoons are pretty much what they look like. Bamboo spoons of various kinds with designs etched into their surfaces. They look nice, but after taking a close look at them, I’m not entirely sure I’d want to use them regularly with food. The etching on their surfaces is just under a millimetre deep and covers the front of the spoons (the side that would hold food.) The etching is rough enough inside the grooves that you can easily feel the texture with your fingernail. A rough surface makes for plenty of places for food particles to get trapped and promote bacterial growth. When using wooden spoons, it’s generally rule of thumb not to keep spoons that have split because bacteria will grow in the split and can present a health hazard. With the rough surfaces of the grooves I see the same concern.Bottom Line:Nice looking bamboo spoons, but because of the designs etched into them, they have numerous spots where food can become trapped and promote bacterial growth unless you’re very careful with cleaning (and even if you are). If you’re going to buy these, use them decoratively and then get a set of plain bamboo spoons for cooking instead.
