Clinton Anderson Philosophy

This book explains all his REASONS to do what you do when working with a horse. It is a great book to help anyone understand how a horse learns and what works best to teach a horse to respect you as a leader. I would recommend this book to anyone that spends time around horses. It is written with straight forward and easy to understand language as well humor. The information in this book is a also a great start for anyone interested in pursuing more details concerning the Clinton Anderson method of horse training. If the principles are practiced it will strengthen the relationship with any horse AND help keep you safe!!

There is a lot of good information in this book. it's well written and informative.

This book was the right price and the right information. It gives you enough of a detailed overview of why CA does what he does, and how his method originated while allowing you to gain some basic principles that you can work on at home. I wanted to read this before giving it as a gift to someone who is a horseperson, but not versed in the 'modern' horse psychology as it applies to training. Getting the most out of your horse by speaking his language, as well as troubleshooting because you know why your horse does what he does.Exceptional photographs too!

I think Clint is the real deal, but his books are so repetitive, I started skimming and certainly should not have bought the second book. I bought them at the same time, thinking one would be philosophy and the other more on actual how to....was disappointed that the second was almost the same as the first.

I love how Clinton Anderson is so clear and easy to understand, The first third of this book you can skip if you've read Downunder Horsemanship, I actually thought while I was reading it that is was the same as his first book just with a different cover,. But persevere through it (or skip it) and it gets good.

I really liked this book. Very good information, very quick and entertaining read. Mr. Anderson might be well advised to stick to book writing (where editing is possible!) and maybe forego interviews that are insulting and disparaging to his customers. Just saying.

Great book both for study and for the coffee table. The pictures add much to understanding Clinton's teaching which is direct, step by step and easy to refer back to. I highly recommend this for anyone who loves and seeks to understand horses and their potential for positive partnering.

Clinton is a great communicator who's method is proved. This is a textbook of instruction that is needed by everyone who is wanting to be a better horseman. This is one to read, study, highlight and read again.

What a book! A book that puts all you know, all you would want to know, and all you thought you would never know, in highly readable fashion. The chunks are happily kept concise and understandable making complete sense of all you are likely to attempt as a responsible horseman.Do not expect a riding by numbers book. This book stimulates the old grey cells, and that is no bad thing.The ambition now to emulate Clinton Anderson in the real world of horses.

Very concise information that is very helpful and true to the horse. He clarifies the mental aspects of the horse and it help when training.
