Kizen XHP-50 Headlamp (Green)

The strength or perceived quality of the elastic band seems to be a bit light weight. While we haven't had the product long enough to see how it does over time, it feels like given exposure to the elements and continued stretching around the head that the elastic may just wear out. Second, the red light setting (not strobe) is too broad of a beam. It would be nice if the beam were more focused similar to the white light setting. It should be noted that is exceptionally great having different switches for the white lights vs the red lights and not having to cycle through one to get to the other! Third, the amount of angle adjustment is good but the increment of adjustment is quite coarse, too much angle change per position.

The headlamp was everything that was advertised. The button on the wearers right controls the red LED's and the button on the left controls the white LED's, with each scrolling through high, low, flashing and off. It shipped with the required batteries and will work well for anything one would like a headlamp for. Specifically, I plan to use it while hunting as the red light draws less attention when hiking in the dark to my hunting spots.

Definitely waterproof to a limit. Used two during the night laps of world's toughest mudder. After four hours of mud and water the light started doing what it wanted (turning on and off, flashing, etc. without pushing buttons). Even with this issue it's worth the money as there are no other cheaper options for waterproof lamps.

We bought these as essential party favors for a camping birthday party. They worked right out of the package after a little set-up (batteries were included); it was so easy that 9 year-olds could put them together on their own. The headlamp has all the essential features: there are more than enough light modes (the strongest is incredibly bright), the strap adjusts to fit an adult or a child, the lamp angle is adjustable, it appears durable and is comfortable. The price was great and the kids loved them! We haven't had a chance to judge the longevity of the product, but the quality appears to be good even compared to some of our more expensive head lamps, so I think it's going to have a long lifespan. They are great for camping (obviously) but also for night reading and whenever hands free light is required in dark situations. I would definitely buy more.

The white lite is great and for the price I don't need a diffused beam function I guess but the red light on this one doesn't have any brightness to the point of not being functional but my 5 year old loves it so for $9 I am OK with it I guess

Wow! There is no way I would have ever thought of writing a review on a headlamp, but... This is a REALLY, REALLY great light! It is blindingly bright on the highest setting, so you should be able to see as far as you will need. It is solidly built, and will probably live up to the waterproof claim. The strap is wide and fits so very well, and is also adjustable. The strap is so good you don't need that extra T-strap that some others have, so this looks a little less dorky. Just shocked that I received such a fantastic headlamp for such a cheap price. I really expected one that would just be good to give to the kids to play with, but I'm keeping this one for myself!

The two white light settings are good (one being very bright!). But the red light is too faint (dim) to be useful -- I was hoping to use it to read in bed at night, but the red light is not bright enough.

For the money, it is extremely difficult to ask for more. I have used the headlamp on several occasions already and I have been satisfied. If there were a flip down diffused lens, it would make this headlamp 5 stars and as awesome value.
