Very good very easy use
These where very good and easy to use.. only think I'd say could be better if the soldier area was slightly longer but otherwise great to use

If you're still soldering and heat shrinking non mains voltage stuff, get these
Never heard of these before stumbling on them and giving them a try. I had a really awkward 0.5mm twin cable to join with not much space to join and get heat shrink in compounded by my right hand being strapped up and I'm right handed... so it took a bit of setting up but so easy.A good tip though - practice on some scrap first. I used a normal Bosch heat gun on full. Surprising how much heat the heat shrink tube can take. I considered getting a mini heat gun for the job thinking the full size version would be too powerful but it was fine. You just need to have really good eyes on the solder melting and stop. In my case that was glasses and a head magnifier. To get round the proximity of the first wire of two that did I wrapped the fist one in few wraps of kitchen foil while doing the second - worked fine the slid a previously put on large heat shrink up the wire to finish. So much better than messing around with solder etc. These are now a permanent addition to my kit. Not sure I have a use for the 6mm jobs but I do have an electric outboard that draws 60A - I can feel a little experiment coming on...

Solved 2 out of 3 cables, but may need 3rd attempt.
1st attempt solved 1 out of 3 cables. We thought 2nd attempt solved all 3 cables. Later it looked like only 2 were solved, so I presume one connection must have failed. We will try again if 2/3 of the outside lights don't give enough lighting.

Neat easy to use waterproof cable joiners
Purchased these to repair a damaged wiring loom. The joiners work really well, are easy to use and look neat. The finished join isn’t much bigger than the original cable, much less bulky than crimp connectors. This enabled the repair to fit back inside the heatshrinked original loom for a neat waterproof repair.I found quickly heating one side of the connector fixed it to one wire first, this allow the other wire to be inserted into the joiner and lined up perfectly before heating the whole lot up. The heat shrink, shrinks first gripping the cable, then the solder melts and the fixes the wires. No need to twist the wires together, making the join smaller and neater. The solder takes a lot of heat much more than normal heat shrink tube but still works with a standard paint strippper type heat gun but be careful of surrounding surfaces, other cables etc. So much easier and much quicker than bit of of heat shrink Tube and a soldering iron.Good strong storage box supplied and selection of joiner sizes to suit most situations.Recommended for quick neat waterproof cable joins.Well worth having a set handy for quick repairs.

Don’t like them will stick with the other type

electrapick Solder Seal Wire Connectors
Very clever and quick idea for connecting two wires. Pick the correct size out of the box of 240, slide it on 1 wire, push the two wires together, slide the connector back over the copper wires and apply heat with a hot air gun or butane torch. Solder ring in the middle melts and joins the wires, while the plastic inserts melt and grip the wires combined with the tube heat shrinking over the joint to prevent water ingress. Genius !

Very nice
If you slide the connection over the wires before making a twist joint and then using a hot air gun you get a good and strong connection.
