I despaired of playing proper games on my PC, with no available graphics cards to fit in my ITX case. I think the Amazon algorithms must have read my mind, however, and offered a number of extension cables to mount a card vertically in a case. My arrangement consists of an ATX size card standing on the floor, with a separate power supply.It's from the Dr Who book of computer building, because the PCIE Ex socket is upside-down in the assembly, so I went for this cable only. BUT IT WORKS!! It's fallen over, physically, once, but the connection stayed intact, so well done ASUS for making a nice, reliable connector, which does look and feel like a quality product throughout.However, "It's just a wire!" as my wife said. "Couldn't you have bought a new case...?" Ah well, I suppose I do need to tidy it up, somehow. Maybe after the next pandemic.

This is probably one of the best riser cables around but remember to set your bios settings PCIE gen version to 3.0 if you have a 4.0 capable board, else this cable won’t be able to handle it.Any GPU today runs just as well under 3.0. You will just have issues with major choppiness if you try to force a 4.0 signal down this cable which to date isn’t designed for 4.0.

Worth using it if you are looking for a nice GPU extension

4 months down the line and the EMI shielding has peeled off and broke so that not very reassuring
