Great watch

For some reason, I've taken a liking to green-faced watches so this one fit the bill. The green is more of a forest green than anything; it's quiet in its elegance. The gold markers and hands are visible against that green background. I'm a fan of Orient watches and this one appears to be a newer design; by that I mean that it addresses 3 irritants of the older models - you can hand-wind this watch, it hacks (the second hand stops when you pull out the crown to set the time) and the band is a normal width at 22mm vs the off-beat 21mm my older watches have. I was very pleased to see these improvements on the watch. The back has a crystal so you can see the inner workings, and the winding rotor has some designs engraved in it for some more flair. The hands, markers, and numbers at 12 and 6 are all lumed. Not sure how long the lume lasts since I haven't worn the watch at night for very long, but they are visible when you come inside from bright sunlight so there is lume. The day/date are set in the standard way. The crown does not screw-down, but since this is not a diver, that's not necessarily a problem. The band is the only shortcoming to me in that I'm not sure how long it will last, but as I said earlier, it's a normal width so replacement will be easy should the need arise. It is leather. I have to give kudos for Orient making this band usable for larger wrists - 8" in my case. I can comfortably wear the watch and I still have 2 holes left before the end of the band; usually I'm lucky if I don't have to use the last hole.

This timepiece is awesome and worth the purchase. I recommend you buy it. You’ll love it and the price is great. Orient does it again creating great timepieces.

This isn’t a fake review. The watch interface was easy to work with. However, the dial was about mm off center, but adjustments are easy to perform. I would like to say that the leather band is a little bit stiff out of the box, but it slowly but surely conforms to the shape of your wrist in a few days. The time markers are easy to read in broad daylight due to the vibrant and subtle gold to green contrast. Even then, I would like to see the company improve upon the glow-in-the-dark features since I commute pretty early on in the morning (around 4:00am / dawn). The days of the week and month need a little bit of time getting used to since the weekdays have both the English Spanish variant, so many around the world would understand. The water resistant does the job for commuting on rainy days. Anyway, this watch does the job very well for a graduate student like me.

Es espectacular lo que este reloj da por este precio. Una máquina espectacular. El punto débil es la pulsera, pero eso tiene fácil solución.

I’ve had the watch for two weeks and it doesn’t work anymore.

When I got this watch nine months ago, it was everything I wanted in a medium-cost wristwatch. A true automatic mechanical watch with day and date complications. Hand winding. A large, very attractive dial. A comfortable leather strap. A beautiful watch which kept accurate time: within a few seconds a day. Over the last nine months, however, the accuracy has gotten ... less accurate. The watch now gains over a minute a day and its getting worse every day. I am aware that this watch could be adjusted, but I have neither the tools nor skill to do so. While this watch has many things to recommend, it should not be this inaccurate after less than a year.

Decepción

Klasse Uhr, ich bin bis jetzt von der Orient richtig begeistert. War auf der Suche nach einer alternative für alle Tage, zu meinen Quarzuhren (Batterien sind gefühlt leider immer dann leer, wenn es nicht passt, wie Urlaub;-). Neben Solar betriebenen Uhren, die aber letztlich doch über Akku angetrieben werden, bleiben noch klassisch mechanische Varianten. [für Mechanik kann ich mich begeistern, muss am Alter liegen :-)] Nach längerem suchen bin ich auf die Firma Orient gestoßen, die zu EPSON- Seiko gehören. Und nach dem, was man im Internet so findet, bauen die recht gute und günstige Uhren mit Automatikwerk. Also bisschen weiter gesucht und habe mich dann für diese hier entschieden. Für gerade mal rund 100 € bekommt man eine optisch schöne Uhr mit mechanischem Werk. Da war das Risiko gering und rücksenden kann man ja auch. Was mit meiner Uhr augenscheinlich schon jemand getan hatte. Womöglich hat ihm das "grüne" Zifferblatt nicht gefallen. Tatsächlich würde ich es auch eher als blau-grün wie Petrol, Tiefseegrün oder ähnlich bezeichnen. Sieht aber mit den güldenen Indizes sehr gut/edel aus (ist aber Geschmackssache, mir gefällt's). Ich trage sie jetzt eine Woche, die Abweichung beträgt ca. +4 Sek pro Tag. Ich denke in dieser Preisklasse ist das zu tolerieren. Die Indizes leuchten gut nach, auch am Morgen ist gut zu erkennen, dass man tatsächlich schon wieder aufstehen muss. Einziges Manko für mich war das Armband, das für meinen Geschmack etwas zu dunkel, fast schwarz, daher kommt. Aber das ist nicht schlimm, kann man ja bei Gelegenheit tauschen. Fazit: klare Empfehlung, top Preis-Leistung! Ich befürchte es wird nicht meine letzte Orient sein. Ich suche noch etwas für die Badesaison und richtig Wasserdichtes, Schickes habe ich hier auch schon entdeckt, Weihnachten steht vor der Tür :-)

This watch just came today. I love it.

El reloj es una maravilla, de que me lo puse solamente adelantaba 3 segundos al día , con el paso de las semanas puesto no adelanta ni atrasa nada, el lumen se puede decir que dura toda la noche si ha estado expuesto bien a la luz!! Lo dicho reloj con las 3 b. De la correa no puedo opinar porque no la use a penas, la cambie por otra de acero de otro orient que tenía y queda precioso. Si lo tuviese que volver a comprar un poco más caro lo volvería a comprar sin pensarlo. Lo mejor sin duda la calidad del reloj, la precisión del movimiento y el lumen. Lo peor quizás la correa ya que afea bastante el reloj, recomiendo sin duda ponerle una de acero.

Es un excelente reloj a un precio inmejorable. No duden en adquirirlo no se arrepentirán
