Babaylan: Filipinos and the Call of the Indigenous

So thankful to have come across this book. This is my first published resource for indigenous Visayan Filipino culture and Strobel offers a world of resources to look more to. I’ve been looking for further growth, and I’ll nurture my family and my wounds left by colonialism with open arms.

Very informative! It's so hard to find anything on indigenous practices in the phillipines. I am so happy with it!

Text on Pilipin@ indigeneity from the voice of the people and not the colonizer is almost impossible to come by. I am excited about the prospects of future texts such as these that focus on healing and preservation.

I love this book but the seller who priced this at $2000+ just doesn't make sense!!

My journey with this book - both in reading it and crossing paths with it - has been beautiful, spirit-led and, quite frankly, a full body experience! I sensed a strong connection with my mother, and grandmother who have both crossed over into the spirit world. So many moments of insight, affirmation and transcending the ordinary.I find it hopeful that this kind of text is bridging into academia. As an educator, I believe that this is the kind of literature that is needed to effectively steward us into our education system’s next iteration and, in turn, a better future for all.Bless you, ate Lenny!
