How to draw Steven Universe: A Step by Step Guide to draw Steven Universe characters Paperback – 14 Feb. 2020

Don't buy this book, it's falsely advertised. The cover is the most in depth breakdown of art in the entire book, the rest is incredibly lazy and unprofessional. Each stage of character design is on a separate page pretty explicitly to fill up as much space as possible and the art itself is astonishingly basic, and I say this being completely aware that this book was meant for kids. Not only that - the breakdowns are artificially extended to take up more space and in some cases, the character design is actually flat-out wrong in some glaringly obvious ways. Unlike most books of this type for kids of the similar age group, there is no break down of posing, proportions, or expressions that you could get in similar books for the same price from more reputable sources, only static images of a few Steven Universe characters. But it is worth noting that many characters are just completely missing from this book. At present you can buy books like "How to draw comics the Marvel Way" for the same price as this one and you'll get a much more involved, longer book that kids and adults can both learn from. This book isn't worth the paper it was printed on, I was going to give this to my cousin as a birthday present but I would be actively embarrassed to do so.

The front cover implied that you would learn how to draw Steven future and spinel but in fact it on shows you how to draw young Steven amethyst, pear, lapis, young greg, lion and ruby. Which make me sad for the price I paid :( I recommend it because of the tips you get are easy to follow but maybe try to find it at a lower price
