Great for those who like a higher eye-line, otherwise fully adjustable, solid construction.
Most monitors these days come with stubby little plastic desk mounts that position the monitor only a few inches above your desk surface. This dual monitor stand raises the minimum height to about 7".This setup is of solid construction and fully adjustable on tilt (at the VESA mount), pan and swivel. This kit comes fully disassembled (unlike others I have installed), but it is relatively straightforward since each arm segment is identical (no mismatching possible). Center mast mounts to desk via a single drilled hole and massive 3/8"(8mm) bolt up through the bottom of mounting surface. Kit comes with clamp mount as well. However, when I mounted the center mast to my desk I realized that the center swivel bracket would have to be positioned at the lowest point on the center mast. The arm segments have a drastic rise to them of about 3" up for each 10" segment of the arms, which gives it an unavoidable rise of about 6" from the center mast to the end of each arm.FOR REFERENCE:At it's lowest mounting point on the mast my 23.5" monitors are sitting at 7.25" above the surface of my desk and the top of the monitor is measuring 21" above the surface of my desk. This is just barely acceptable as my natural eye-line is about 16.5-17" above my desk (30" height). If you mounted the center swivel bracket at the midway point on the mast, my monitors would be nearly 12" above my desk surface (bottom edge) and a little over 28" at the top edge.If you mounted the center swivel bracket at the highest point on the mast, my monitors would be nearly 16" above my desk surface (bottom edge) and a little over 32" at the top edge.I have installed other brands of dual monitor mount for coworkers and the armature sections did not have any rise to them which was aesthetically more pleasing on the desk and allowed for more adjustability in height.

Good Mount but different base than pictured
My issue with this mount has nothing to do with the quality, but the picture displayed on Amazon. The seller should really update it to reflect what this mount base actually looks like.I think the problem that people have with this mount is that when it arrives, it will look NOTHING like what the picture shows, at least as far as the base goes.I was looking for a grommet based mount, and when the item arrived, it had a huge clamp on it for a clamp mount. Okay, that's fine if you want the option of mounting on the back of a desk that doesn't have holes in them. That's not what i was looking for. Fortunately, you only have to unscrew the clamp piece, but i think that's what has irritated purchasers, and it's because its different than what was shipped.I contacted customer support, and they were very fast in responding, stating that the mount they sent is the "newest generation" of the mount, and that's fine, it really is a great quality mount for the price, but I don't understand why the picture isn't updated, and maybe a description of the mount being that way.Again, it's a great mount, heavy duty, and I am typing this review after about 40 minutes of reading the instructions and assembly. After a few minor adjustments, I'm very happy.

Beautiful addition for executive desk.
This is a beauty. Received it within a few days of ordering. Mounts on desk after drilling a 3/8 hole. Very solid and stable for both 24" monitors. Brushed aluminum construction and quality made. It is adjustable, up and down, left and right, forward and back by several inches, if you want your monitors side by side. Does the job and looks great! Unclutters the desk area and creates an ergonomic solution for positioning. It will undoubtedly outlast the executive desk.NOTE: Caution! Before mounting and drilling the hole, make sure to test exactly where the monitors will adjust to, so you don't need to reposition and drill 2 holes in your desk. Check for obstructions underneath where you want the post positioned. This unit is the semi-permanent type and not like the adjustable screw clamp model. I would not recommend this unit for desktops less than 1" thick, without using a custom metal holding plate top and bottom.

Not entirely as advertised.
This product is ok for someone that doesn't need to be able to adjust the height of their monitor(s). DO NOT PURCHASE this item if, like us, you need a monitor stand that will allow for easy, on-the-fly adjustment of monitor height, such as what is needed if working with a stand-up desk. We use the stand-up desk for working in the standing as well as the seated position, varying it throughout the day. This monitor stand does not allow for easy height adjustment; to adjust the height you have to unscrew an allen screw on the base of the unit, adjust the height, and retighten the screw. Not exactly user friendly compared to other models available through Amazon. Our item arrived in 7 small boxes and did not come with instructions or tools for assembly. All in all, not a great experience, and now we have to return this item and wait for a new one to arrive before our workspace is fully functional. If you just need to be able to adjust the tilt and horizontal location of your monitors, and you aren't threatened by figuring out how to assemble this yourself, this may be for you.

Very sturdy!
The Mount-It MI-43111 Dual Computer Monitor Stand is very sturdy and of great quality. If you do not intend on using the clamp base, you will have to remove the clamp hardware. The picture here shows a symmetrical base which is wrong. The grommet base provided with this model is the same as the clamp base (not symmetrical). You don't actually receive two bases.

Space saving dual monitor stand
Nice compact design that saves desk space, but the counterweight springs are quite strong enough to handle a 30" monitor. I am using it with one 27" monitor and a 30" monitor. The 27" stays where I put it; the 30" slowly drops to the desk top with the spring fully compressed.

We wanted two dual monitor desk mounts for our office but purchased 4 so that we evaluate the different features. All four models had excellent features but the two that were selected were the most versatile and offered the most bang for the buck.
