Great machine!
Shhhhh- Seller will include blanks if you ask. They were easy to deal with and included enough drive trays to get my plex server rocking. I upgraded the CPUs to the max supported and the machine Handel's the transcoding of videos without issue.

Excellent customer service
Excellent for file storage and/or virtualization. Changed the Smart Array Controller from RAID to HBA due to ZFS setup. Will buy from here again!

HP is the worst tbh
Do not buy this for a homelab. You require coding gymnastics to try and manipulate the server into not sounding like a pair of jet engines (they're that loud) unless you plan on also investing in HP drives to put in this. It's way too loud. Great specs, but the inability to control fan noise is a real downside.

Great cheap storage server minus the drives of course.
Everything worked perfectly right out of the box, with all 25 drive bays filled.

Almost as expected
System boots, took esxi 6 perfectly. It didn't like 7 at all. Install took an hour for 7, 6 less than 5 minutes. This is an issue with the product not the seller.system arrived with a handful of blanks. Doubt this is a universal thing and they just happened to be there. So far only issue I have is that none of the trays had screws and i didn't see any in a baggie. I found enough for one drive too install the vm host. This is fairly minor but frustrating, not enough to drop a star.I've had it for one day and it was received 4 days earlier than expected. probably not a universal thing and i just got lucky
