The beautiful and versatile Laken Thermo Jannu is a vacuum insulated stainless steel water bottle that can hold cold drinks chilled for up to 24 hours. It has a double layered stainless steel construction with vacuum between the two layers that provides excellent thermal insulation. The Thermo Jannu has a sport cap with a flip straw that allows drinking without lifting up the bottle. You can hold the bottle and open the cap using a single hand, by pushing the press-to-release button. The body of this wide mouth bottle is made up of 18/8 food grade stainless steel that is chemically inert and makes sure that your beverages remain fresh and safe for long time periods. These bottles are BPA, phthalate and lead free with no inner liner. The interior is 100% INOX so there is no leeching effect.

Son nearly choked on sharp plastic from this cup.
I purchased two of these water bottles for my kids about 8-9 months ago, and I really liked this water bottle at first. Things I do like about it are that the paint doesn't chip easily, and it's cute. My kids (3 and 2) like the carrying case with the strap, and they also like the loop at the top of the lid for holding their own bottle. Some things I found I had to be careful for are due to the design and placement of the button, sometimes it tends to pop open when in my diaper bag or if you toss it into a backpack. That has caused a few incidents of disastrous leaking. Otherwise, if you're careful it's not a deal breaker. If you had asked me a month ago to rate this cup, I would have given it 4 stars. However, last night my son nearly choked on a sharp shard of plastic. Luckily he coughed it up, and I was shocked when I saw he pulled out an inch long piece of hard plastic from his mouth. I checked inside the cup and there was another long sharp plastic piece. After some inspection I saw it was from the lid. Maybe I have a faulty lid, or maybe it's due to poor design, but there is a rim of very thin plastic at the top of the lid that must have broken off. This cup and lid I only had wash and dry on a rack, and my older son is already careful not to drop it. It hasn't been through any other sort of damage, but still these pieces came out. I see there is still a part of that rim intact so I don't know if it will break off and present itself a choking hazard. I'll probably contact the company to see if they have a replacement.

Would be perfect with a few minor adjustments!
My husband and I love our HydroFlask water bottles, but when I went to look for one in 12oz that had a straw lid for my daughter (3 years old) to use at school, they didn't have one. Luckily, I stumbled across this Laken bottle in the process, and after reading the reviews, I let my daughter pick a color. She's very excited to have a bottle that's like ours (insulated stainless steel with the coated outside), and it helps keep her water cold even when it's outside with her in the desert summer heat. The wide mouth makes it easier for her to refill her bottle at the water fountain or with the pitchers of water at school, and she likes the straw lids better than the "sippy" type where you have to tip it to drink. The reason I took off one star is threefold:1.) It takes quite a bit of pressure to push down the spout and have it lock closed. Our daughter is able to open the spout after the "open" button loosened up a little. But she still can't close it most of the time. This will come with time, so it's not a deal-breaker at all, and she's good about just putting the bottle down upright, so it doesn't really bother me that much.2.) When you push the button to open the spout, if you're using your thumb(s) and depending on where the rest of your fingers are on the other side of the bottle, the spout can snap open and the little hard plastic part that opens up with it (to help lock it closed) can hit your fingers. It's hard to explain, but it's gotten me a couple of times. Not a big deal as it mostly startles me and doesn't hurt.3.) Like another review said, the handle has a bit of a sharp edge to it. When I'm carrying it on a finger, it digs in pretty good and I have to adjust it. I can only imagine how it might feel to a smaller finger! I filed it down a little and it was easy to do, but as this is labeled as a kids' bottle specifically, I think this could be a reasonably cheap fix for the manufacturer to make. The three minor things add up to a 4 star review, and really only because this is being marketed as a kids' bottle am I as picky about it. (I'm generally not as picky on reviews like this.) Otherwise, it's a great little bottle. Not too heavy for her to carry around, insulates well (we've only tried cold water, not anything hot), the wide mouth makes it easy to clean.

Excellent stainless steel water bottle
I ordered two of these for my two small children. I love having a sturdy water bottle to take on the go, I liked the stainless steel option to both keep their water cold, and also hold up to the beating they will take from my 4 year old and 17 month old. I also like that they are not plastic, and will not leach anything into the water. The spout is soft, but does not need to bitten down on to open, like a Camelbak. They are easy to open and close, and my 17 month old had the hang of it (much to his delight) after less than a minute of me showing him, after which he continued to open and close for another 10 minutes! The spout and straw can all be taken apart for thorough cleaning, but on a daily basis, I have found simply removing the straw from the lid and using my straw brush to clean up through the mouthpiece effective enough. They get a more thorough cleaning occasionally, but it is a minor pain to remove the plastic collar around the mouthpiece in order to remove it from the lid. As others have stated, the handle is a bit sharp, and digs in when carrying it by a finger, as most people would do. My only other complaint is the straw is rough on both ends, where it is apparent it was cut to fit the bottle size. For the price and overall quality, I would have expected better for something as simple as a straw. It just needs a little buffing to smooth it out.All in all, very good water bottles, and ones I would purchase again!

Not great.....
Not great I am afraid.First off, good points:1) it keeps the content cold for AGES!! and I mean ages, very good insulation.2) Build quality feels great, solid, light weightBad points:1) I have managed to spill water on myself several times with this, sometimes when the lid pings open, but even if I do it slowly and don't tip if at all what ever you do it shoots water up the straw.2) you have to be a technical genius to dismantle it for cleaning3) you need an industrial suction pump to get the fluid up the straw4) I feel a bit stupid drinking out of it, like a baby sucking on a dummyOverall, its ok, wish I had not purchased 2 of the large ones! But now I have them I will make the most I can and open with caution.

dark pink was really nice. But i pressed the flap
When i first got it, it looked strong and the colour, dark pink was really nice. But i pressed the flap, behind the straw, over the straw to push the straw back in, then I found a button below the handle to bring up the straw again. I did it again and the straw would not fit in, it kept popping back up:( and i tried to open the lid and it would not open! so if i managed to open it and fill it up with my drink i would risk it leaking through the straw. But i was not able to open it so i didn't have to worry about that!so i returned it and still searching for a flask with a straw that doesnt leak.

Excellent Water Bottle
This bottle was a replacement for a stainless steel Thermos branded bottle which started to leak, compared to that bottle this bottle is larger, Ithe doesn't show up in the picture but the red paint is powder coated on to the metal and the finish is a very nice nonslip sandstone texture., the spout is thick silicon which can be folded back with the latch. This bottle has a pipe feed, (just like you would find in an aerosol), so you never have to tilt the bottle, it can be used vertical even when the water is about to finish. I've sat in the steam room with it and it kept the water nice and cold, I haven't tried a hot beverage in it but it's rated 10 hours cold and 8 hours for hot which is impressive but it's Jot something i have tested. The bottle hasn't leaked in my bag however the manufacturer advises to keep it vertical to avoid leakage. Compared to the stainless steel Thermos I actually prefer this Laken bottle. Made in Spain not USA

Good botle, faulty cap.
The water bottle is good but the cap has a problem. The button used to open the straw gets stuck and the kids cannot close it. This results to leaking. My son used it only 2 weeks and this start happening. There is no easy way to clean or fix it... Also when it is not closed and turned upside down the water poors out. I expected it to be better for the money i paid. Still I haven't made my mind if i would recommend it to friends...

I'm trying to find another random lid that might fit better so that it is not a complete waist
Used for about one month of school and the lid started leaking.. I took a closer look and saw that the bottle and the lid do not have matching treads so leaking is inevitable. Also while holding the bottle from the top loop, the button gets accidentally pressed and the bottle opens.... Not well thought, not well made. I'm trying to find another random lid that might fit better so that it is not a complete waist.

If you think it can't be that bad, think again
As others have stated, this does not keep drinks cool for very long and it throws water everywhere when you open the straw. I was stuck in traffic, opened it up and wore most of the contents, I was soaked through. It threw water all over me, the seat, the steering wheel. When you open the straw it also leaks water where you press the button to open it, leaks water round the seal and proceeds to just drip all down the outside of the bottle. Definitely not fit for purpose I'm afraid. Gets 1 star as I can't give it none.

cool bottle
Love the bottle really does keep my juice/water really cold and i work in a hot place. Best to use chilled water or drop in a couple of ice cubes. This is my second Laken thermal my other is a narrow neck but i wanted one with a straw. Also handy to know you can buy replacement lids and replacement sippers. You dont get any condensation either on the outside.

Will definitely recommend
I searched the market with a few previous failures for a flask that can keep drinks cold for at least a day at work. I finally found this and have had this product for just about 2 years and it definitely keeps my drinks cold when I add some ice cubes to it. In the 2 years, I only had an issue with the silicon spout leaking and as soon as I informed the seller, they were quick to send me a replacement spout for free.I will definitely be getting another one of these for my son to take to the gym.

Disappointed
Lovely bottle and was so excited to receive it. But now after only a couple of weeks of use the pop up straw mechanism is stuck so the drinking aperture cannot be pushed back down into a locked position so leaks everywhere : (

Great choice :-)
Excellent product - well made, nice colours, easy to operate and strong enough to handle day to day bumps. Very happy with this product and have already added another 2 to my basket! :-)

Not a great design for carbonated liquids
Be very careful with anything carbonated, opening it produces a nice stream of liquid that you now have to clear up.

Very Good until the Malfunction
Worked really well for 9 months (occasional use only) but then the mouthpiece malfunctioned - when drawing up liquid, air started to pull through as well. I've readjusted the straw but to no avail. Perhaps I've been unlucky, the product is otherwise very functional, solidly made and thoughtfully designed. Not sure if I'll buy a replacement..

Very happy with this bottle, my toddler has two of the smaller size.
Easy to clean, keeps water cool, easy for my toddler to use, no nasty plastic taste to water and minimises spills.

Ok but mouth piece is not the best
It is OK but every time I open it some of the drink shoots out of the mouth piece unless I empty the little tube with a flick before closing. This is really annoying. Also cleaning is tedious as you need to dismantle it completely to do it
