Better than expected.
The vacuumed delivered on the listing and did a great job. Picked up bigger debris than I thought. Initially it was pretty weak but it was my fault. I was going too fast when I slowed down it did a good job. It charges quickly and holds the charge well. Easy to empty and clean filter.

Great to fine tune clean up.
Works great for the final small debris left at the bottom of pool after raking and skimming with a net. Stays charged for a long time, just has to be emptied frequently

Works great, lasts not so great
This vacuum worked great for two summers. It was used two to three times a week on average. We have a small 14’ round pool and this is really the perfect size for it. It’s more like a dustbuster than a shop vac so keep your expectations realistic. It takes about 15 minutes to do the whole pool. Maybe less if it’s not too dirty. Gotta go slow though to give it time to work. We were very pleased with the suction power considering it’s cordless and pretty inexpensive. Ideally you would want to run a vacuum hose through your pool filter for more power but these small above ground pools don’t have an option for that unless you create an adapter yourself. I did that with our old 18’ pool but this little vacuum works fine and is easy to use and clean. Lasted about 30-40 minutes per charge. We’re impressed with it and will probably buy another one next year unless we decide to spend more. The only complaint is it only lasted a little less than two full seasons. Still not bad for the price. Four stars seems fair considering how well it actually works.

You might get one year out of it
I bought this last summer to use in my above ground pool. I was using a cheap little vacuum that attached to my hose and really wanted something better that could hold more debris because my neighbors have Maples and the little helicopters that fall early in the season were the bane of my existence. I had a friend order this one and said she liked it, so about a week after she tried hers, I decided to get the same one. Before the summer was over my friend had to get hers replaced because it stopped working, but mine lasted all summer last year (2021). I was not super impressed with it but it did work. It got the helicopters and the leaves out but even with the microfiber bag, it was missing a lot of the finer particles which is fine, I needed to get a better filter anyway. This vacuum clogged really easily and I had to empty it several times before I could finish my whole pool. (18X48 Intex) I would do two or three swipes then have to check it and shove the leaves down in there to clear it out so it would regain suction. The battery power lasted long enough to do the pool, but just barely. There were one or two times the pool was really dirty and I had to charge it again before finishing. After the season was over, I winterized my pool and kept this in dry storage. This summer (2022) I got everything set up and ready to go and when I went to plug this in to charge it, it would not light up or charge at all. I borrowed a power cord that I knew worked from my friend, and it would charge hers but not mine. So I went through Amazon to inquire about the warranty and was directed to Intex. I emailed them only to be told my situation required a phone call. I called Intex and was told they were very busy and I could be put on a call back list and my place in line would be held and I would be called back when it was my turn. I got a call back about 3 hours later. It ended up that this product only has a one year warranty and I was about 2 weeks past my warranty date when I called. She suggested I could get online and order a new vacuum body for $80. I paid $129 for the whole thing last year and a new one looks like it is $80 on here now so that didn't help me at all. I am just using my old hose-powered vacuum now and my pool looks great. It was $15 bucks at Big Lots and I swapped the little debris bag that came with it for a tube sock and it works great! Save your money on this one. It wont' last.

Nice surprise, great item
I had a noisy portable hot tub vacuum that made noise and didn’t pick very small particles. After overnight charging, I tried it and didn’t hear any noise or felt any movement. I was preparing to report it as defective and request a return when I rechecked the instructions, which could better explain operations, and decided to try to pick up some debris. It suctioned everything quickly without any noise, I could see the water flow but no noise and my wife commented how nice it is to have a device that works so well. The vacuum looks really nice, handle is easy to adjust and has more than enough reach for built in hot tubs. Now, I even use it in my pool to pick up dirt, sand and other debris. The includes mi do filter helps to remove very fine particles and is light to carry and operate. Price is very competitive specially when compared with similar devices. Highly recommend it.

A honest review!
So I got this pool vacuum with an open mind because price point and also the reviews were mixed . I posed a video of my 1st use and since I couldn't post a 2nd video I screen shotted the pool after . The cl Vac did a good job overall but there are some things you need to know and will have to deal with to use this vacuum and it be the most effective. For one make sure its 100% charged ..it takes a good 10 + hours to fully charge and it shows a green light Make sure you have the clear head part screwed in tightly and the fine filter in properly if your wanting to get fine dirt and scum . My only problem with that is that the clear part didn't ever screw on tightly and always had gaps like shown in pic. idk if that's just the design or mine was defective. They seller sent me a 2nd vac and it had similar issues! If I took the filter out it fit to loosely so not sure what the deal is but it's a poor design on that part .it however didn't seem to effect the suction to badly . Anyways Also make sure caps covering the plug on spot good and dont turn on until after it's samerged in water . It's pretty quiet but you can hear it bubbling when it starts . You have to go super slow or it will spread out the debris . I used it the next day when all my pool debris /rust crap settled to the bottom so I could see it ,and did it in sections , I vacuumed a small section at a time and then kept a hose by the pool and un scew the clear cap and spary off the fine filter and place it back in and continue to another section ..it works best this way and is most effective. I repeated that until battery got low ..which was about 30 minutes or so . It probably last 40 to 45 minutes but will work poorly after 30 . As you can seee from my after pic I didn't get the whole pool done .it was pretty dirty at bottom when I started. The next day I didn't let anyone get in and let all the crap settle again so I looked like i started over but more heavily dirty in spots I didn't do yet , and them are the sports I started at first . Basically it took a good 4 or 5 days of using it over and over this way and treating the pool to get it clear ,it would depend on what kind of gunk you have mine Was a rusty and algae type from my well water I was concerned about . I did notice it was better to lift vac out of the water quickly before you empty clear cap and filter because once it's full and needs cleaned it can leak back into the water and I think as you vac because caps not 100% sealed some stuff does go back in that's why I cleaned filter evey 5 to 10 minutes to make sure I was keeping it clean . So if you don't mind the extra steps it works well . I left cap outside to dry and filter after I cleaned it and noticed afyer while it got warped from the heat and didn't screw on properly even more ! I did see you can buy a replacement cap on manufacturer site for around 10$ ? so I may need to get that. For the price it kept my pool clean and I didn't mind the work .but if you don't have the time and patient's to do this, this isn't the vac for you and go for a more pricy vac. But it may be easier if you only have small particles not fine like mine . ALso make sure you change your actual pool filter weekly and use pool shock regularly as needed to keep it maintained. I used this vac again off and on once or twice a week ,it wasn't bad than, and the battery lasted enough to maintain once i got it cleaned out good the initial time. I only have smaller pool , I think this would be to much of a hassle for a inground pool, unless you were using to just suck med and larger debris and spot clean a little .

Great suction!
I've tried several of these small pool vacuums and they all failed miserably! They either had weak suction or didn't really pick up the dirt and micro particles in my pool! They really just moved the dirt around and definitely didnt pickup much as they claim to have exceptional suction power! I decided to give this last one a try before investing in a traditional pump/hose and from a reputable company like Intex! My main concern was dirt and small particles in my pool and wow this vacuum impressed me! With the first pass my pool was 80% cleaner. Charged it and removed the rest that I didn't get in the first pass. Being in Texas there is alot of debris and dust that circulates all the time which causes a pool nightmare so having a reliable vacuum that's quick and easy is a must! You will never pickup everything in your pool on the first battery charge unless you have time to vacuum 3 or 4 times per week. But one full charge will certainly make a difference! What I found is that using this vacuum like a carpet cleaner that you would use inside meaning vacuuming a small area and in sections works best! Also don't move around too much to keep from stirring up the debris on the pool floor and move the vacuum slowly. The one thing that was really impressive is that you can feel the suction power in this vacuum. Also if you watch closely you can see the vacuum moving the surrounding dirt toward the vacuum which shows that its doing its job! Don't expect any of these small vacuums to pick up the leaves in your pool because the opening on the bottom of the main suction hole is just not big enough and really just pushes the leaves around! But I'm OK with that because I have another device that operates with a vortex from the water connected to your garden hose that picks up all the leaves in my pool in about 10 min! So from my initial use of this vacuum I give it a thumbs up and I think it would be beneficial for a spot clean or picking up small particles in any pool or hot tub! Let's see if the motor and battery last, I certainly hope it does because I like this vacuum so far! Great job intex!
