They work well. It took a little time to get them to fit just right.

When our kitchen was remodeled, we had to use at least 50% CFL lighting. The electrician installed these CFL bulbs with a two pronged plug-in base. The only place I could get replacement bulbs was at OSH and they only stocked one brand which emitted a yellowish case light somewhat more dim than the original bulbs the electrician installed. I have discovered these Sylvania bulbs which have a (to me) high Kelvin rating (4100) which means (again to me) that the light is both whiter and brighter taan the replacements sold by OSH. Buying from Amazon means no sales tax, no delivery charge (because of Amazon Prime) and quick delivery. I'm sold. This will be the only source for me for replacement bulbs.

A challenge to replace and don't last as long as promised. Problem with replacing has more to do with the poor design and installation of the receptacles than with the lamps. I admit to some blame as I hired, as a good will gesture, a minority business to install the fixtures even though my son in law contractor would have done it for free. I shudder to think about the quality of the electrical connections above the fixtures.

When I bought replacement CFL's for my kitchen and bathrooms from Lowe's and Home Depot, they all had a yellow color -- definitely not what I wanted. I thought I'd give these a try from Amazon, but I was still cautious so I only ordered two. I was pleasantly surprised to find that these lights are WHITE, and they put out plenty light. As soon as I finish writing this review, I'm going to order more of these bulbs for when the rest of my lights burn out!

Ordered this one because I wanted something a little whiter compared to the yellow bulbs i bought at Lowe's and hoped to eliminate terrible flickering. Turns out the color was as I wanted it so that was good and flickering was reduced significantly in my Broan Bathroom Fan/Light however it still flickers some at the start. The other bulb from Lowe's which was also Sylvania made me feel like I was in a night club with strobe lights, not exactly what I want to feel at 5am when I'm searching for the bathroom with one eye open. I had called the Broan manufacture and spoke with one of the technicians who told me that it was difficult to find a perfect bulb because each compact florescent is inconsistent which leads to some flickering more than others. Also said LED's are the way of the future and that's where everyone's research is going.

The bright white bulb was used in the bathroom light fixture in a closed in room, it provided improved lighting in the shower area. The lamp was purchased to improve the light in the shower area. Recommended if you want a more natural light.

The Sylvania 20708 light bulbs are perfect for our bathroom lighting! They are bright, inexpensive, and high quality. They also do not flicker, like many other fork light bulbs do!
