I love these brushes. I purchased them from a sale that I believe was just after the holidays. They are currently going for a great lightning deal price so I got another set for my daughter. They haven't started shedding after months of use. Mine hasn't come apart at the handles, but I've had that happen with other brushes. A few drops of nail glue fixed the problem every time. I don't see the big deal there. They are so soft it's fun to put on makeup. They are pretty and come with a great travel case. I wish I could buy more at the lightning deal price, but if I have another makeup gift bag to put together (as I frequently do for friends, teachers, etc.) I won't hesitate to get these at the regular price. It's still well worth it. I'll just wait until I need them to buy them instead of buying 5 today!

OMG! These were so much better than I expected. For the price, outstanding. For any price, outstanding. You get a very usable assortment of brushes. The brushes are soft to the touch. Very much a luxury item. Fit for gift giving. Anyone would be happy to receive these. Best $10 I ever spent. Comes in a nice little roll-up bag in a light warmish pink color. I threw all my other brushes out when I received these. I like how there's a place for each of them and they stay nice and clean away from the usual "make up drawer clutter." Good buy! You won't be sorry. Pleasantly surprised!

OVERALL: Comes in a compact case (useful if your makeup bag is already full!). I absolutely love the colors of the brushes, looks clean to my eyes: gold, beige, and beautiful. I’d say this is a great basic makeup brush kit for someone who is STARTING OUT without spending a fortune on each individual brush. Practice makes perfect. Most of the brushes I had no problem with, except the fan brush that I used for blush: I used Tarte blush (usually super pigmented), and it stayed on the fan brush and kind of applied onto my skin. Other than that… there were no bristles sticking out or leaving me slowly, weird smells, or broken parts. I wouldn’t recommend this for professionals, or make up artists: but for DAILY EVERYDAY MAKEUP APPLICATION USE. Definitely worth the money, great practice brushes for those who dream of having $150+ brushes, and perfect for the day-day makeup routine! (IN ORDER BASED UPON THE PICTURE BELOW) Big brush: I love it because it’s so fluffy. I don’t wear a ton of powder so I actually used this for powder highlighter lightly on my face to try out. Thankfully, I didn’t look like a shiny greasy face, but I had a nice glow! 2nd brush (I used for bronzer): This holds product well and is great for blending, if your makeup is extremely pigmented you can go easy with it instead of slabbing a ton of product on the brush. Fan brush: Meant to clean up the face (I don’t use powder), so I used it for blush. As you can see, the blush I used still remains on the bristles a bit. 4th brush (I used for CC cream): Now I usually use an itCosmetics brush for my CC cream, but I tried this one out and it wasn’t bad. Great coverage for the most part, but it didn’t cover one of my pimples as well as I would have liked: but it did the job. Big eyeshadow brush: I love this one! I use this for an all around basic coverage on my lids, and it definitely pulled through. It’s fluffy and it doesn’t hurt using around the sensitive areas of the eye. 6th brush: Smaller eyeshadow brush, I used this one to blend and to use darker eyeshadow colors on my face. I have hooded eyes, so I enjoyed using this one. It blended everything together nicely. Smaller concealer brush: Great for reaching the hard corners of the eye, wasn’t pokey and didn’t suck up all the product. 8th brush: Smudge brush, good to have around. I don’t use this on the daily basis for smokey eye, but I did use it on my brow bone to highlight! Lip brush (I believe): I used this one for eyeliner… it actually worked well just have to play with it a bit. Mascara brush: Great to get clumps out of mascara or use to make the brows look on point, not Sharpie-esque. Eyeliner brush: OR eyebrow gel pencil brush, which is how I used it. It definitely picks up the product, you don’t need to double dab into the pot. Lightly use it on your brows, I love it! Last brush: I didn’t really touch it, but it might come in handy on days where I need to go to a nice event. I received a discounted product in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. I'm not a makeup person. So I usually do not use these brushes on daily basis. I just used only the big brush for foundation hardly couple of times and the handle came out or got separated just like that. Did not put in water nothing . Also unfortunately that's the only one large brush we will get/have in the set. So now I have to again purchase a new one though I have the so called 12 pieces with me. I did not use the other brushes yet. I went with the reviews and purchased my "first make up brush set "and ended up with bitter experience. My advice is not to go for quantity but just look for few brushes with good quality. V.v. Disappointed .

This was a nice surprise. It comes in a nice leather pouch. Lots of brushes and the brushes are soft.

The brush bristles were amazingly soft, and I love it, but the gold ends holding the brush falls off the sticks. I tried to re-glue them, but they do not stay. Super upset, because I use these brushes all the time. It fell apart after a month of use.

Good quality, can't go wrong for the price.
