I loved the Donna Parker series back in the 1960s
This was a "blast from the past"! I loved the Donna Parker series back in the 1960s. Not as thrilling as Nancy Drew, but Donna had the nice supportive family and the annoying younger brother, so her stories were more realistic. This story is about her summer at Camp Cherrydale...a stranger on a bridge, a cabin in the woods, and the unusual behavior of her senior counselor have Donna and Ricky involved in a mystery! Enjoy!

Value and a wonderful story.
I read this book as a teenager and loved Donna Parker ever since. It’s in good condition and at a fair price.

BEST book every written!!
This is a really good book! In this book Donna Parker, along with her best friend Ricky go to Camp Cherrydale to be junior counselors. At first the girls are really into the whole camp thing, but it is also a lot of work taking care of the kids. Things very soon change though, Bunny, the senior counselor is acting strange, Dr. and Mrs Duvall(the camp owners) seem to be hiding something, and a weird house in the woods is making Ricky and Donna very eager to find out the whole truth about the house. I recommend this book to kids anywhere from ages 10-16 READ THE BOOK!! :)

Nostalgia
Too bad that the younger crowd wouldn't like a book like this. I read this series when I was younger, then I bought another set when my daughter was about the age to read it and now I am buying the series again (which I will not get rid of) because of the nostalgia issue and maybe one day I will have a grandaughter that would like to read the series.

They don't write 'em like this any more...
I read these books when I was a young girl in the early 80s. They were passed down from a family friend. Loved them! They have such a charm and innocence that is so lacking in books today. Even though there's lots of 50s & 60s references that will make you smile (that even made me laugh in the early 80s), any girl would still enjoy them. Most of the struggles Donna faces are still so relevant today. It's obvious from the success of the movie Grease, TV show "7th Heaven" and & Happy Days & The Brady Bunch on DVD that people still love to relive these magical times and that teenagers never really change. They just have different fads and habits but the emotions and problems are still the same! PLEASE ask for a reprint of the whole 7 books in the series! Anyone know who I can contact to make it happen?
