My hairdresser recommended this since she noticed redness and flakes on my scalp, and hair falling out more than normal. I have dealt with dry scalp my whole life and struggle with having to switch products all the time. In addition to some other tips, I’ve incorporated using this on my scalp 1-2x per month and it has improved my scalp health more than anything I’ve ever used. It does slightly “burn” after 5 min with some itchiness, but I think that’s part of the mixture and usually that’s when I wash out. The smell is a bit metallic but there’s zinc in this, and I rather the product just smell like what it’s supposed to with natural ingredients than add in fragrance that would for sure irritate my scalp. Overall, it is small, but mighty and partitioning your hair is the key to make sure you get all your scalp covered.

So I’ve been suffering from clogged hair follicles on the scalp for the past year or so, which lead to a lot of hair fallout, itch, and a sore scalp. I’ve tried many different things, different products, and most of it didn’t really clear the gunk out. How do I know? I bought a neat little USB microscope so I could see it up close for myself (highly recommend if you suffer from the same thing, it’s very helpful!) But yeah, the pores were clogged and really gross. Some dead skin built up in places, yuck. Saw this stuff and thought I’d try it out. At first, as I was using it, I was kind of skeptical despite the good reviews. It smells like vinegar and copper pennies and feels a little slimy when you dissolve the crystals in your palm. Then it felt crunchy yet grainy as it sat on my scalp and in my hair. But then, when I did the final step and wash it out with shampoo, oh wow. It’s the day after washing and my scalp feels freaking amazing. No itch. I don’t have that feeling like if I run my hands through my hair a bunch of strands will come out, cause they don’t. I used my USB microscope to see the results up close and I was honestly shocked at how clear and clean my follicles looked. I mean it totally cleared them out. The dried dead skin flakes pretty much completely gone. The skin on my scalp looks fresh and healthy. Yet my scalp doesn’t feel dry or overly stripped, it just feels good. 10/10 would recommend this magical powder of the gods. Hope this review is helpful!

As far as clarifying hair masks go, this one is pretty good. It has a very strong vinegar-like smell but washes out easily. It does a good job of clarifying without overly drying scalp. Only reason I wouldn’t rate it 5 stars is because of the smell.

My hair stylist gave me a pkg to try. The first application, I used the entire pkg and I'm not kidding, it did burn my scalp in areas that I scratch alot. I rinsed it out after 2 or 3 min and the burning stopped. The miracle was my scalp didn't itch all week! I used half of it the following week, burned maybe 10% of what it did the first time. Now, several weeks later, using it once a week, it barely tingles and my scalp rarely itches. It gave back life to my hair! So soft and vibrant. My hair is a little fluffy now, but I've been getting positive feedback about how wonderful my hair looks and they don't even know about this discovery! Now I get 3 washes out of one pkt. Follow the directions, Wash your hair, cup your hand and mix with a little bit of water, apply the paste to scalp, wait the alotted time, WASH AGAIN, then condition. Introduced to my daughter and she loves it, it's helping reduce her psoriasis on her scalp and she said it doesn't itch like it used to! Just get past that first wash and you'll love it too!

This product kind of worked, irl if I was using it wrong but I did use soft water to use it. I’m not sure if I needed to use hard water for it to work

This is a really great product to clarify the scalp. It works really great at removing any product, hard water, dryness, etc. And for how deeply it cleans it is not super drying (I always follow with a deep conditioner). I use this on average about once a month to help my scalp feel really clean, sometimes more in the winter because it does help with flakes from dry weather. My only complaint it does leave a faint odor after using, it’s not exactly bad and my husband can never smell anything but it’s not my favorite. Luckily on the next wash it will go away. Even with that it is still worth it for how well it works.

Always have amazing results using this, not using this as much as before as I now have a shower filter, but previously it gave me soft bouncy hair back, and squeaky clean scalp
