Can’t understand negative reviews
I’m no chef, but I’ve got an ok pallet and cannot understand how reviewers have said these are nasty tasting because of the rapeseed oil! We found them to be lovely in salads, dropped in pasta in a tomato sauce, having them in a bowl with drinks etc etc. I’ve eaten olives in Italy, Greece, Spain etc and without a doubt having them French in country in the sun with a cold wine or beer will always make them taste better, and we’ve spend 3 times as much for fancy marinated olives in fancy packaging and they taste better by some % but not 3 times better. So our conclusion is if you want a nice plump olive (still has the pips in) that you can mix with feta cheese, or dipping ciabatta into balsamic vinegar blah blah then these are perfect, they are cheap enough to eat on mass, or mix in your own flavoured olive oil and herbs then buy these as this is a bargain. On the 1 weeks consumption you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to understand this is due to regulation, there is no difference in cracking the lid and scooping out a number of olives and then and as long as the olives are still covered in the same oil and you pop the container in the fridge then these will last much longer than a week. Oil can get protein strings in it, it tastes nasty but you can see it but if kept in the fridge then it’s ok in our view, but I’m not a food scientist. They are not going to go off in a week because you broke seal on the lid.

As I expected
The Olives are exactly as i expected! Not hard not smashed. The teast is delicios and I am very pleased with then! The only thing that I would change in them is to put them in olive oil nothing else!

Good flavour.
I decanted these straight away into a sterilized kilner jar with olive-oil in place of the brine/rapeseed oil. Also added some chilli flakes (1/2 tablespoon). They have very good flavour; caveat, the actual quantity of olives is 800g

Tasty firm buttery but poor delivery update
Really consistant quality on my 4rth jar I just use as a snack or side with a steak or such like. Rapeseed oil not an issue in my opinoon as I use a draining spoon to serve them. After removal 20 mins on a sheet of kitchen roll and you can add the marinade of your choice. These olives are really tasty without additional flavour IMO.Sadly in my subscribe & save order for these they substituted some inferior marinated olives therefore I have cancelled my repeat orders.

Tasty
Delicious! Really fruity. I live in Devon and sometimes it’s difficult to find deli foods. Amazon have got it though, excellent

Tasty!
These Nocellara olives have that characteristic buttery taste, are easy to chew (mind the olive stones!) and have a lovely flavour. They come in a heavy duty, large plastic screw-top jar of which the olives' drained weight is quoted to be '800g'. Fair enough. The olives are in a mix of rapeseed oil and olive oil which added ascorbic acid which naturally preserves the green colour of the olives. They arrived in good time, well packed I was pleased to notice. My husband and I love these Nocellara olives and we think you will, too. Good value.

Tastes like machine oil
Really sorry for being negative about it, I really liked the quality of the olives. They are really outstanding quality but why would you use that oil which is not olive oil %100 sure. Olives smells like something else, I can not quite name what oil is that but such a wasted olives for me. Tastes and smells really bad, I tried to put it onto water and waited for hours but I can still smell it and taste it. It feels like machine oil, as a mediterennean I am very disappointed. Please take this as a positive for review and change the way you are doing it.

Do this ⚠️
The media could not be loaded. Take spoon and carefully remove thin layer of rapsed oil from top. And put few spoons of extra virgin oil instead. They will taste 10x better. The rapsed oil make them taste bland. And get Pitter- stone removing tool. They will taste lovely fresh and firm.
