Players JB8 Maple and Rengas Half and Half Design Jump Break Cue

This is a great J/b cue for an entry level to intermediate player. The Bakelite tip makes jumping balls super easy and with a 14mm diameter it breaks great without a lot of force. I really like the Turbo Lock QR joints Players has been using, you can be halfway through a rack before your opponent has their cue together. The cue is affordable, preforms as it should and looks great but does have some cons as well...The oversized tip is ideal for "centerball" breaks and jump shots but not great when using anything more than half a tip of english. It isn't as good as having a jump cue AND a break cue but works well to get of a tight spot. Overall I'm very satisfied, yet again, with my Players cue and would totally recommend the JB8 if you mainly looking for a break cue or a j/b combo but of your ONLY looking for a dedicated jumper there are better options. Players are made by the same people who make Lucasi Cues and they play (and look) just as good but come at a better price this is coming from someone who owns both.

Well made cue. I like that it is weight adjustable. I ground down the head of the weight bolt so it would go deeper into the cavity to make the cue less rear weight biased. The stiff shaft and 14mm tip give this cue a really strong firm hit. All the guys think its the best break cue they have tried. My cue is 18 oz plus a 2 oz weight bolt plus a 1 oz bolt for a total of 21 oz.
