Heavy-Duty French Cleat — Perfect for Hanging a Mirror
The Hangman Professional French Cleat (CBH-18) is a fantastic solution for securely hanging heavy items. I used it to mount a large mirror, and it worked flawlessly. The aluminum construction is lightweight yet extremely sturdy, giving me full confidence that the mirror is safe and secure on the wall. Installation was straightforward — the included level and hardware made alignment easy. Once mounted, the mirror slid onto the cleat smoothly and sits perfectly flush against the wall. It feels rock-solid and professional, unlike cheaper hanging solutions that can wobble or shift over time. ✅ Pros: Strong aluminum build supports heavy items Easy installation with included hardware and level Holds items flush to the wall for a clean look Works for mirrors, pictures, cabinets, and more ❌ Cons: Requires careful measuring to get the alignment right (but worth it for the stability) 💡 Tips: Mark your wall carefully with the built-in level before drilling for perfect alignment. Use a stud finder if possible for extra holding strength, especially with heavier mirrors. Double-check that your wall anchors are rated for the weight you’re hanging. For very large items, consider using two cleats for added stability. Bottom Line: The Hangman CBH-18 French Cleat is a professional-grade mounting system. It made hanging my heavy mirror simple, secure, and worry-free. Highly recommended if you want a reliable, clean-looking solution for heavy wall decor.

Vanity Victory!
Let me tell you about the most underappreciated hunk of metal in my house. While others might swoon over fancy wall art or overpriced smart mirrors, I’m here to toast the true MVP—the humble, hardworking bracket that refused to buckle under pressure. I used this cleat to hang a massive, heavy dresser mirror that, frankly, looked like it wanted to fall just to assert dominance. Not on this cleat’s watch. Installation was smooth, and because of the length was able to line it up between a couple studs. Once that mirror locked into place, I just knew: this was true wall-to-wall commitment. It’s strong, silent, and doesn’t complain when I check my teeth for food that I plan to save for later. Honestly, if it had a Tinder profile, I’d swipe right. TLDR, A little pricier than the others but very sturdy and worth it

Cabinets.. please.. :)
Used this to hang some "floating" shelves. The shelves needed to be supported on the sides (used chain) they look great, and I know are not going anywhere. It would have worked better with the cabinets - the bottom of the cabinet would help keep it all level. Have also used with hanging headboards, since they are longer, no gap at top - plus sturdy!

Light but strong.
Note that the instructions insist at least two screws must be put into studs. Without saying so, I believe Hangman is insisting on this to support as much weight as the product claims to support (which I think was 100 pounds for this item). That seems like a fair request. This bracket gives you a very tight fit of your item to your wall. I would definitely call it "flush," as good as if my cabinet was directly screwed to the wall. The challenge that presents is that lifting your item into place and sliding it down so that the Z-channels catch each other has to be carefully and diligently addressed. It is much harder than hanging a picture on the wall with a nail and wire, but the result is well worth it, and I would buy other Hangman products now that I have this first experience. The wall-attached section has pre-drilled holes 1-inch apart across its entire length. Thus it is easy to align the holes with a stud. The cabinet-attached section has holes spaced farther apart, maybe 3 or 4 inches. That worked fine for me. I ordered the 30-inch to hang a cabinet that was 26 inches long, so I had to trim the cabinet-attached side of the hanger with a hacksaw. That was not difficult, and product didn't bend when I clamped it securely to the workbench and made my cut. I trimmed the wall-attached side down to 20 inches, so it spanned two wall studs and a bit more. This gives me the flexibility to slide the cabinet a little to the left or right on the wall without exposing the wall-attached bracket.

Worked great
This solved hanging a large mirrored jewelry cabinet on my plaster and homasote wall (yes, in 1930 they put up walls of homasote in my house, covered them with a ton of plaster, and it's a nightmare). I wasn't ever going to risk using the cabinet's keyhole hooks in drywall anchors. My studs can also be all over the place, but the 18 inch one did hit two studs in the far holes. I'm very happy this worked so well.
