This is also compatible with Campagnolo derailleurs and cassettes.
I love the ability to shift between index and friction. I can use index for the rear derailleur and friction for the front derailleur. I wanted the friction feature in case it would not work with my 12 speed Campagnalo Chorus derailleur and cassettes. However in index mode it shifts perfectly even though it says it is for a Shimano 12 speed indexed system.

Simple Shifter, Works Well
I really like this shifter and the more I use it the better I like it. I am a seventy year old that does a lot of mountain bike riding - mostly on a Trek Fuel 29 with a Shimano 1 x 12 setup. I started having problems with pain in my right thumb and standard index shifters made it worse. I got this Microshift and mounted it on top of the handlebar as a friction shifter instead of index. It really worked well. I can literally shift with my index finger instead of my thumb. If I use my thumb, it is a simple pressure thing versus a distinct push like an index shifter. So, after many years, I am back to a friction shifter and I like it better - would not go back to an index even if I could. Microshift makes good product.

More robust than trigger shifters.
I replaced my SLX trigger shifter with this one. It is a big improvement. Even running a 11-51 cassette, it makes the shifts, spot on. And, you can swing the derailleur through as many gears as you can push the lever in one go.

Nice shifter not clutch friendly.
Great quality shifter works great with clutch less derailleur. It's a little stiff on a clutch derailleur. So if you plan on mix matching parts like I did. ZEE Derailer with 8 spd casette then you need to look else where.
