I have a 2013 Yamaha R1. There's some kind of engineering flaw in the starter relays. I went through two of them. Kept thinking maybe it was the battery but when I bypassed the relay the bike would start right up. Dropped this one in and problem solved. Bike starts right up.

Works surprisingly well!

Put it on my 2011 Yamaha R1, connected the positive battery cable to the battery and the bike started trying to start with the key switch off. Also made the battery super hot to the touch. Hope it didn’t mess anything else up electrical or my new battery. Going back with the factory starter solenoid. Yeah it’s pricey, but having peace of mind that it’s going to work like factory is priceless. Going to try and send it back so we will see how that goes.

This worked fine for 1000 miles on my 2014 Yamaha R1. I went to start the bike one day and I heard a whining noise when it was running at idle so I shut the key off. To my amazement, the starter was trying to turn the bike over with the key off. I had to pull the seat off and disconnect the battery. I reconnected the battery and it started and turned off normally two times, then it repeated this behavior again. I will be replacing this with an OEM part. There is a reason it only costs 1/3 the OEM price. I'm just hoping this didn't damage my starter motor now.

It fixed my issue. Good quality part. Will order from them again...
