Charcoal BBQ with fantastic temperature control - felt like cooking with gas!
This awesome bit of kit not only lit within seconds, but hit its target temperature of around 200C in 15-20 minutes and I was ready to cook. First up was a whole leg of lamb that had had been turned into kebabs on skewers, along with a heap of roasted veg in a tray - meat was perfectly cooked after about 15 minutes, and whilst I gave the veg 30 mins, putting in the lamb halfway through, it wasn't quite ready (my fault - only had one tray to hand and I overloaded it). It was so east to use and control, and putting it out was just a case of turning off the fan and putting in two blanking plates; it stayed warm in the coals tower for a while, but the main oven cooled down pretty quickly. I have only tried traditional BBQ so far and haven't yet smoked anything, but that'll happen in a couple of weeks. The only drawback with this was that some of the instructions weren't completely clear, particularly around attaching the ash bucket container and the manifold, but other than that it was pretty straightforward to build.

Didn't power on, still waiting for a refund over a week after returning
I was really looking forward to this. I spent a couple of hours building it immediately after it arrived. Then I plugged it in and no power! Nothing. I spent a other few hours going over the instructions, checking forums online and emailing the manufacturer. What I found was this1) you can't call the manufacturer and they aim to reply to emails in 5-7 days2) looking on forums, people have to sometimes wait months for replacement parts under warranty.Which Is some of the worst customer service I've come across.Further more amazon collected it over a week ago, bit say they still haven't received it.I don't know what I was thinking buying anything over £100 from amazon to be honest. But so far I've spent £700 to just have weeks of hassle. I'd stay away from this smoker or atleast research bbq forums. Also avoid buying costly items from amazon.

If you are serious about American BBQ this is for you
This must be one of my favorite purchases, if you are serious about proper American style BBQ then this is a must.It took me about 1 hour to build it by myself and was straight forward. The gravity charcoal feeder is great, you can go a good 8 hours with this easily and it’s easy to top up if you need. I did a 12hour low and slow BBQ brisket, pork butt and loads of other stuff. The blue tooth app is great for monitoring the meat probes and the internal temperature, the BBQ can be set to your desired temperature so you can set and forget. The system uses Deg F as default, but it is easy to switch between Deg C and Deg F. this is really good as like I said if you are into low and slow American smoking BBQ then you will probably have most recipes using Deg F anyway.

Great smoker with a few niggles
Product arrived and was delivered to my garage as requested. Assembly was simple enough but took a while and would be much easier with 2 people. Have done two cooks so far, the first a steak which I overcooked, my fault. For the second cook I dropped applewood chunks in the hopper along with charcoal and smoked pork shoulder and baby back ribs. Both turned out amazing. The smoker is very good at regulating the temperature so there's no need to be going outside to check the temperature every 15 mins like with a traditional smoker. The downside to the smoker is the very temperamental sensors on the hopper doors. These sometimes don't work when the doors are shut and the fan will not start up because it thinks the doors are still open. Reading into this it seems to be a common issue, likewise with the connection dropping out to the mobile app. The other issue is that the manifold is a nightmare to clean. I highly recommend putting foil on it. Price I paid was £650 which is also a bit annoying to see it £150 cheaper 2 months later but it is what it is. Overall I would recommend this BBQ, especially at the current £499 price.

Disappointed
For the price that we paid I am extremely disappointed I was expecting a constant temperature no fire hazard and ease of control. Instead I have had several fires, over heating, temperature control out of control. I can not find replacement parts as the wiring has broken.Sadly this is not the best.

Incredible
Best bloody thing I've ever purchased. I've been smoking with an upright barrel for years and thought i would treat myself. I can't express how good it is. It heats up quicker than my actual friggin oven. Cranking the beast up to 700f to sear steak is insane. If you're contemplating getting one, stop contemplating and treat yo self!
