Hot Shot Ant Bait, Kills the Queen and Colony, Works for 6 months, Pack of 1, 8 Count

I have tried everything and this actually works! The small black sugar ants come up every winter season in my kitchen. I have tried it all including other bait types that promise results and even mixing my own borax, sugar, and water. This is the only bait that works within a week and the ants stay away until the next surge months later if winter or early spring is still around. Initially there are tons of ants coming up to investigate and go into the bait station, so don’t be alarmed; that means it’s attracting them. I put out 2 stations right next to the crack in the hardwood where the ants come up. Then after a couple days, I don’t see the ants anymore. I leave the bait out for a month just to be certain I’m not missing any.

I liked that it actually works! It did not work the same night I put down, BUT, the NEXT MORNING, there was not a SINGLE ANT, (ZERO), and its been weeks since I used, and I have not seen even 1 ant!!!! Product is great!!!

I don't know about you but we have had some serious ant issues this spring. Primarily we are seeing the tiny little ants, I hear they come in to either get away from water or get away from a drought, who knows why really. I will say these do a nice job but I feel like after a while, even when replacing with new traps, that the ants become immune to the poison. We have ants in the kitchen and also in the bathroom, which I thought was weird. As soon as I laid a trap down in the bathroom the ants disappeared and have not been back. Unfortunately that is not always the case in the kitchen. Even though I am not getting a 100% clearing of the ants, these traps are better than anything else I've purchased.

Best product ever. I had ants all over my living room. In just few hours of use, they left the place.

We have been over run with ants this summer. First time ever. Our kitchen gets them first because they come through a bay window that doesn’t have good insulation. They then go through to the bathroom (I wasn’t aware until recently they travel through your pipes and walls and water doesn’t deter them) and from there my bedroom is on the other side of the one bathroom wall where our baseboard heating is and they climb right through into our bedroom. Being my bed is pushed up against that wall because it is the only solid wall I have no choice but to leave it. My husband put these up against that wall between the door and the other end of the room and I haven’t had one ant since. We have only seen a few stragglers on the. Kitchen floor, basically not being able to move I guess due to the poison in the little discs.I feel these have worked the best out of any brand I have gotten in the past and hope they last as long as they say they will. But so far, knock on wood, these little gems are worth their weight in gold.

We feed our cats in the garage and pieces of food and cat puke : ( were always attracting a lot of ants. We tried several brands and gave them ample time to work but they didn’t really do anything. Then we tried this stuff and within a week or two we never saw another ant. ALL SUMMER! That was two years ago and I put a couple out last spring and didn’t see a single ant all that summer!

The roach ones work but this doesn't seem to, the ants have very little interest in it I had to put a dollop of pancake syrup on the top just to get the ants to acknowledge it. I don't think I'll buy these anymore. Also I still see any activity in the area if the baits

I purchased the Hot Shot Ant Bait hoping for a long-term solution to our ant problem, especially since the packaging advertised it would kill the queen and colony and work for six months. While I appreciated the peace of mind knowing it was pet-friendly, I unfortunately didn't notice a significant reduction in the number of ants around our home. Despite using the entire 8-count pack, the infestation persisted to the point where I ultimately had to call in professional pest control services. While the pet-friendly aspect is a definite plus, the lack of noticeable effectiveness was a major drawback in my experience.
