Kinda Janky
I have a few pocket scales similar in style to this one. Before I purchased this one, I asked myself ... can they really find cheaper parts to use on a $6 scale compared to a $10 scale? Well ... yes, yes they can. It's only 6 bucks and it works. You get what you pay for. Next time, I'll splurge and spend an extra 4 or 5 bucks.
