Replacement Gas Cylinder (Piston) Fits Aeron Chair

It does what it is supposed to do, fit was good.

Shocked it showed up with no box at all, just tossed in a thin USPS plastic bag with no cushion. Even more shocked mine was not damaged and worked ok. One star off for bad packaging. 1. Glad for the video on how to do the replacement. But it was very hard to get off my old product and stood on my wrench to get the torque to loosen the old one. 2. It fit my Herman Miller Aeron perfectly. Other reviewers saying it didn’t fit are just not doing it right.

I needed the part because the Aeron chair is the best chair in the world! It is comfortable, supportive and does not cut your blood flow!

It should've been more scrutinized, as it doesn't fit Herman Miller Aeron Chair. There is a round fitting plastic cap on top of the cylinder base (black part). For it to fit, that fitting should fit all the way flush with the top of hole in the chair base. I attached the picture, the piston is at least 3 inches above where it should be. IT DOES NOT FIT the Herman Miller Aeron Chair.

Returned it as it is too close to the floor and could easily catch and drag something. purchased another item as it sits nicely with ample clearance in the base.

Removing the old cylinder was a pain but installing the new cylinder was a breeze.

Perfect replacement! I had to use the hammer + socket method to remove the old one then this was perfect fit- chair is like new again!
