I’ve tried dozens of other pomades, and this formula is perfection. My kids and I have fine hair, so we don’t like or need anything too thick or sticky, bc it will break our hair off. We do our hair in different ways, but this one stick works for all of us. My son is 7 and is learning to do his hair himself. This stick is much more user friendly than the tubs where you have to guess how much to scoop out. Even if he accidentally uses a little too much, it’s okay bc you can’t tell. It doesn’t make your hair greasy. He rubs this stick throughout his hair and then combs it over and uses light hair spray or he’ll just use his fingers to do a tousled look. It helps to thicken his hair a bit and keep it in place without being stiff or sticky. He loves being able to do his hair himself, this stick gives him a sense of autonomy. I had to do it for him with the other brands in a tub. I (female) have long, straight hair, and I use it on my baby hairs around my forehead when I pull it back into a pony tail. They tend to stick straight up. It only takes a tiny bit of this wax (a couple of dabs) to keep them down all day, and my hair is still soft to the touch. I don’t have to use hair spray at all when I use this stick. I have had issues with other pomades being hard to wash out of my mine and my son’s hair, but not this brand. It washes out super easily. It’s literally the most perfect formula for our hair type, no other brand comes close. Please don’t ever change it up!

The Bed Head by TIGI Hair Wax Stick has been a great find for my kids, who all have 3C and 4A-type hair. Their curls can get a bit fluffy and fussy at times, and this wax really helps keep their edges neat and smooth when their hair is put in a bun or in a ponytail. It provides a strong hold without feeling overly stiff or greasy. A little goes a long way. Just a light swipe helps control flyaways and define edges, so I love that it is easy to apply and mess-free. I only have a short amount of time to fix my neurodivergent daughter's hair, so this comes in very handy. Overall, this wax does exactly what I need it to do. It keeps their hair looking polished and well-managed throughout the day. For the price and performance, it’s a solid, reliable styling product that works especially well for textured and curly hair types so I find this worth it.

For reference I have black textured curly hair that I usually wear blown out, this wax stick is perfect! This adds shine, keeps my hair soft, holds my hair in place and lasts the entire day. First day using it I worked all day and had no flyaways or frizz. It’s so easy to use, I like to use a spoolie/wand to push the strays back and then I go over them with the wax and use an edge brush to smooth and swoop to my liking. This is the perfect sleek slick back product. I can’t speak to other hair types but my hair doesn’t get greasy but does get dry, this doesn’t dry my scalp out like gels or cause flakes. If you have thin or straight hair I can see this making your hair greasy. Highly recommend!

Smells great and works well with a light touch!

I love this hair wax. It’s great for anyone with frizzy hair and those stubborn stray hairs that won’t stay in place. I used this on a bride and it was very effective!

This hair wax works well with controlling my flyaways and baby hairs. A little goes a long way and It’s easy to apply and control the amount of hold that I want. On most days I like to apply the wax on my hands and run them through my hair for a natural look. However if I’m sporting a ponytail or need a polished look I’ll apply the stick directly to my hair. I do find the hair wax to be a bit on the greasy side, so I try not to apply too much. And like many reviews here, the wax does have a smell. I can describe it as “sour.” It’s quite prominent, lingers and does conflict with whatever perfume I wear. All of that said, you definitely want to wash your hair before bedtime (or wear a bonnet) because you don’t want product on your pillows or your sleeping face. And this is just a personal thing, but I cannot stand the packaging, specifically the metal cap. Twisting it on/off creates this grating feeling and sound that is similar to scratching a chalkboard. It’s a sensory nightmare to me so I ultimately transferred the wax to a cardboard deodorant tube.

I use this almost daily. I have alot of fly aways and it drives me crazy looking at it when i have my hair up in a ponytail. This stick makes your hair look completely slicked back. The product feels more so waxy and a little sticky if you touch it. Washes out pretty easy with shampoo. The hold is great, will last throughout the day. Very easy to use, just rub it over the areas that need flattening. Best part is you dont need to get it all over your hands!
