Version XLR for 19mm [Pragmasis Protector Chain]
Heavy, precision built padlock with black-plated or painted tempered steel with double-ball bearing, boron, & corrosion-plated shackle retreated besides 1inch thick "shoulders." Thick 1/4" rubber cover fits over & protects keyhole. 1/8" rubber also protects the lock body.Padlock also feels heavy to resist bumping [even with bump-resistant pin-and-tumbler lock cylinder]. The brass cylinder is also underneath a 1/8" steel plate. Entire lock size is the size of a male fist or can of coke.CAUTION: The regular SS65CS [here on Amazon] WILL NOT ACCEPT a 19mm Pragmasis Protector chain!!! Go to Lockitt.com and select the XLR version. Compared to the regular 65, it's just a little bit more clearance on the shackle space [like 3mm], different key/keying, and 10~ dollars more. Otherwise, they look identical.

Great lock
How can you improve on perfection?? Very sturdy. High quality steel. Lighter than a similar #9 category padlock with a protected shackle.

Do not have NW4 core!
NW4 Core is NOT included with lock! Great paperweight, but not useable as a lock.

Impenetrable against any likely encounter
The 80 mm closed shackle version of the Henry Squire SS80S is the one lock I'd use to protect my most valued possesions against any brute force attack. If they manage to get through this behometh it took a determined professional thief a lot of time, effort and luck. There was a video demonstration by the "lockpicking lawyer" that showed it surviving over 100 armor piercing assault rifle rounds.l! Its available to view on you tub.

Very strong lock. Includes Squire's standard core.
I own an SS80CS purchased elsewhere. I felt I needed to write a review to correct a confusing comment in one of the only two reviews at this time.Another review states that this lock does not have a core and is "useless" as a lock. This is an exageration from someone that watches too many youtube lock picking videos. The lock comes with Squire's Standard core and is a perfectly capable CEN grade 6 (highest EU security rating). There is an optional core from Mauer with a higher security mechanism. As far as I know, it is not available on Amazon.I still give the lock three stars because the keys provided with the standard core are of a very soft metal. One key bent in my pocket within days of adding it to my key ring. I am concerned about it breaking or becoming unusable at an inconvenient time. I'm actually here because I am looking for a source for the Mauer NW4 core to upgrade my lock.
