Will Agatha finally solve her mom's case?
The Silver Serpent by Lena Jones is Agatha's last opportunity to use your little gray cells to help solve a case. Will Agatha finally solve her mom's case?Agatha OddlowThis time, Agatha finally gets her first case with the Gatekeeper's Guild, and it may yield far more clues than what Agatha is hoping to find. Agatha is so happy to have her first real case with the organization that she starts on it immediately with her new partner. I have to say that Agatha may have a crush on her new partner, but it also seems like she does with Liam as well. Agatha has definitely grown up since her first case, and I do miss her detective agency at the school. No matter if Agatha may or may not have a crush on her new guild partner, she still ends up solving the case, much to anyone's dismay. The MysteryAn assistant at the National Art Gallery goes missing, and the guild puts together two people who have far too many things in common. Well, except for maybe trying to solve the case correctly. Her partner seems like he wants to cut corners. Anyways, Agatha uncovers clues that solve many things for Agatha and effectively looks like ending the series.I wasn't expecting anything that went down, but I am happy that it concluded with a happy ending.Five StarsI am giving five stars to The Silver Serpent by Lena Jones and recommending it to all. Agatha Oddlow is an excellent series for any child itching to read a mystery that even a parent would love. Sure, Agatha skipping school isn't a great role model, but her wanting to solve cases does. Ms. Jones does a great job of writing this series, and I'm hoping that this isn't the last of Agatha Oddlow. Except if it is, then I'm glad she figured out the overarching mystery.Thank you for dropping by! I hope you enjoyed this review of The Silver Serpent by Lena Jones.Until the next time,Karen the Baroness

PHENOMENAL!!!!
Wow! This is DEFINITELY a new favorite trilogy. Such a great detective style mystery MG. The ones I usually read tend to be historical fiction. These aren’t, & that didn’t bother me. I think because there wasn’t constant mention of technology or cell phones. Agatha actually hardly ever checked her cell phone, & kept it off most of the time. I’m so sad it’s over though, & I don’t have any books left to read in the series. These were just so great. Can’t say much since this is the 3rd & final book, but wow! Did we go out with a bang. So many twists & turns, & jaw on the floor moments-like the events that happen towards the ending??!! Loved it! Such an engaging read, it feels like you’re right there with Agatha trying to solve the mystery. This one kept me guessing, & it kept everything I loved about the first 2 as well. Great characters, great friendships, danger, suspense, mystery, intrigue, adventure, & a lot of imagination & heart. SUPERB writing. I need more MG from this author! I love Agatha so much. Even when she’s not in “disguise”, she is so stylish. The writing is so vivid, I can see her outfits perfectly in my head as she describes them. Very atmospheric reads as well. Loved the mystery in this 1, & how it all came together;not just the main mystery in this one, but also the secondary mystery I mentioned before. Loved it so much. AMAZING ending. HIGHLY recommend. Another BEAUTIFUL cover by Alba Filella too.💜

Fine addition to series
One of my favorite teen sleuths is back in Lena Jones’ Agatha Oddly: The Silver Serpent. If you have not already read the first two books in the Agatha Oddly series — The Secret Key and Murder at the Museum — then you should definitely read them first before reading on below.Thirteen-year-old Agatha Oddly is the youngest and newest recruit to the gatekeeper’s guild. And she’s got a lot to prove. So, when Agatha is put on the case of a missing National Gallery assistant, she jumps at the chance. With the help of a new partner, Agatha discovers a plot bigger than just a missing person. The first two books of the Agatha Oddly series really knocked my socks off. I loved everything about them. The same can almost be said of The Silver Serpent. All the things I love about the other books are back. Agatha is inquisitive, daring and flawed. Her friends are interesting and supportive. You get to travel the roads of London. There’s mystery. There’s adventure. The writing is fast-paced and overall enjoyable to read.My “almost” comes with the conclusion to The Silver Serpent, which seemed a bit too convenient and too rushed. Author Lena Jones is actually team of new writers, who work collaboratively. Here is where they seem to have slightly lost their way. The Silver Serpent brings the series to a nice conclusion, but it left me with lots of unanswered questions. Will my quibbles keep me from recommending The Silver Serpent? No.This is an exciting series that is just too much fun not to recommend.

Agatha gets to the bottom of it once more
Our daughter is Agatha Oddly mad, she loves the series and was keen to get her hands on this third book that she read in just a couple of hours. She has now lend it out to her friends and teacher with who she forms some literary girls book club. And they were eagerly waiting for this third book. Agatha apparently is a highly likeable character while the detective type of stories are interesting. This book has a bit of a slow start but gathers pace to the end with an interesting unexpected twist. Our daughter, who has a wide interest in art and culture quite appreciated the little pieces of information about well known artists and their work. And now she can't wait to visit the National Gallery again. Let’s hope the series continues.

The Island, 7 years, and missing sunflowers
Brilliant Conclusion to the Agatha Oddly book series. The third instalment in the series was a fantastic read. I was continuously trying to solve the plot mystery. The case revolves around famous paintings being stolen and replaced with forgeries.Agatha is still a secret agent for the Gatekeepers Guild, she now has a partner - Arthur. They are tasked with getting to the bottom of the art crimes. This conspiracy, unbeknownst to Agatha, links back to the death of her mother. As we progress through the book, we discover that this was Agatha's mum’s final case before her death. Will this case provide Agatha the closure she has been seeking throughout the series?I would definitely recommend this book. It was a page turner; I was excited to continue reading to get to the conclusion and receive all the answers to the ongoing questions the series provided. My only disappointment is there isn't a fourth instalment in the series. My favourite character was Arthur - he seemed so nice, yet he was capable of murdering Agatha's mum. It was very clever, that he poisoned her favourite takeaway food (cookies with melted cheese). But, it was really sad, that the poor cat Oliver also ate some cookie and had a very slow death. The cliffhanger at the end with Agatha ordering a takeaway and Arthur cooking her Pineapple pizzas at the takeaway left us wondering whether our Hero Agatha survived?
