Best GF Pasta
I've tried a variety of grain and bean based pasta and thus far this has been the tastiest. The flavor pairs well with many dishes like Chicken Marsala, Pasta Ala Vodka, and Spaghetti and Meatballs among many others. These noodles like most noodles do give off a slight aroma that I personally love.I feel these noodles are versatile due to how evenly they cook. Unlike wheat, corn, or rice noodles where you are cooking until the noodle has a bit of a bite left, with these noodles with how evenly they cook you can adjust the cook time more generously to how much or little firmness you want in your noodle. I found that these noodles hold up pretty well compared to many other non-gluten based noodles. Just note that you do want to handle these noodles with dry hands as wet hands will cause them to clump together and create a chore for you.The texture of these noodles is fantastic. If you cook them to Al Dente (the same bite as you'd get out of wheat noodles), they have a very pleasing feedback on the teeth similar to that of wheat noodles. They aren't as elastic compared to wheat noodles due to the lack of gluten so they do breakdown quicker but at that point it is not a negative but a positive as they require less chewing overall. Getting a satisfying bite while being easier to process is a win-win in my book. The nutrition of these noodles is also a huge plus. Being only a single ingredient noodle packed with protein and carbs should help people meet their daily nutritional requirements. Being certified GF and using a dedicated facility means that quality is taken seriously. Even if you don't have an allergy, you know that the lines these products are produced on are cleaned and tested properly.

It Doesn't Fall Apart
As someone gluten free this is a great choice. I really enjoy the flavor and it doesn't fall apart like other gluten free pastas.

Newly prediabetic seeking diet changes, this works
Recently diagnosed as prediabetic, I've drastically altered my diet and am trying to cut out white flour and white potatoes. In picking an alternative pasta, I looked for one that was at least made from a product I enjoy... Lentils. They make a surprisingly good base for noodles. A bit chewy, more substantial than flour noodles, with a slightly different taste, but more or less pretty close in texture and taste to typical wheat flour pasta. My family used it to make tuna noodle casserole, a family favorite, and it got 2 1/2 thumbs up out of 3. (Dad wasn't sold on the texture, but thought the taste was good)

One of my go-to replacements for standard pasta
I eat a lot of lentils and do not touch pasta anymore. I use a heart of palm noodle quite a bit, but these are just as good a pasta fix, if not better. Great way to healthy carbs. I will do some garlic/butter/parmesan noodles or a tomato cream sauce and generally do not notice a difference for the most part other than it is red-colored and a slightly firmer bite than al dente pasta. I am a fan and get this regularly. Well worth trying if you are trying to get a cleaner, healthier version of pasta. Keep in mind, these are not low-carb, but they are healthy carbs.

It's the best red lentil pasta I've found
Unlike other brands of red lentil pasta that break down with normal cooking, these are much more robust. Unless I'm getting it for free or close to it, I won't buy any other brand. And I'm not usually one to sniff my nose at store-brands or off-label products. They do need more cooking than wheat-based pastas, and it's best to eat it immediately (no pasta salads should be made with this, ever. Please take my word.) But considering the health benefits and the positive texture and flavor, I almost prefer this to regular pasta. The price is much higher, but when you NEED a bowl of penne and it's not allowed, this might alleviate the cravings.

These are ok
Ok substitute for wheat pasta if you are doing low carb. Not exact texture though.

True gluten free aka Grain Free
Absolutely no gums and especially no xanthum gum aka corn gluten. I am celiac and cannot have any of the glutens and this is the one and only pasta I have found out there that is lentil that doesn't contain any of the gums that make it no longer gluten free. Highly recommend and cooking time is much different than other pastas so I undercook what I think I need to and leave it to strain and it ends up perfect while waiting on me to add it to sauce. I wish Barilla's other 'gluten free' products were true gluten free and had no corn, rice, or oat glutens in them, but for now this one and only is my go to for my pasta fix. If you have issues with gluten and miss pasta, this will more than satisfy that craving.

Too “Al Dente” for me
This is such a delicious Pasta, however it never softened. I even over cooked it. Too Al Dente for me.
