Quality set
Nice set for the money. Feels very solid with the enclosed gauges.Thoughtful to include goggles and gloves. In particular, I like the little tightening wings on the hoses…a nice tough to tighten the hose attachments.

Awesome Purchase
The Orion Motor Tech Guage Set worked out great. Initially, I cross-checked the guages to confirm accuracy. Both guages were dead on. Having guages well protected with the rubber casing made all of the difference in getting the job done. Additionally, the hard back, well-organized carrying case is great for storage and transporting to other AC jobs. This was one of those well-spent purchases that I can honestly say I got my money's worth. I don't think anyone who competent working under the hood would be disappointed.

Accurate gauge and easy to use, but can tap is bad and needs changed...
The media could not be loaded. This is a pretty accurate gauge - accurate enough that it was able to detect flutter from a bad compressor that was dying. The hoses are easy to use and there is even a small spares kit with extra seals. I used soapy water and could not detect any leaks from any part of the manifold or connectors. The worst part of the kit is the R134A can tap...it's pretty poor and clunky to use, especially with modern cans that are self-sealing. I had to use my own can tap. My previous manifold set was a Pittsburgh set from Harbor Freight, but it developed leaks in several spots. This manifold set was actually cheaper than a newer Pittsburgh gauge set and I actually think it's of better quality just from the feel of using it. Overall this is a great manifold set and definitely recommend it - just spend the extra several dollars and get a new can tap.

Leaky cable. Unknown accuracy.
I guess you get what you pay for. One of the hoses leaks and of course I didn't notice it until I was using it to check another car. When I hooked up the high side, I heard this hissing sound and traced it to the end of the cable that connects to the gauge. That would explain why the first car I used these on were getting very weird readings. Invest in a better set.

Use for 134a
Very nice set. Had a cheapie that worked for a few years but this one is much better, The can tap it comes with is a piercing one so will need a new tap for self sealing cans.

Good to have as a backup.
These are good to have as a backup if you can get a set that is accurate. I went through 4 of these before I got one that was zeroed out on hi and lo. Which it's no big deal on most gauges but on these, when you try to zero out the dials, the screw strips completely. They are in Fahrenheit, a must if you need to check subcool and superheat on car AC and they are easy to read. I would have preferred 1/2 inch connections like harbor freight set, but these are 1/4 inch all around. Again, not a showstopper, if your compressor has both connections. they have a line purge which is a must. the extras included makes these a good choice for the price. Couple of extra seals which you will need after a couple of uses, and a 1/4 to 1/2 adapter, self seal can tap and other extras.not bad at all.
