The Poems of T. S. Eliot: Collected and Uncollected Poems (Volume 1)

The physical quality of the book is great. The selected poems were exactly what I'd wanted. One could get lost trying to pick which compendium. I wanted plenty of decipherable commentary The Four Quartets and The Waste Land. Got it!

Excellent collection of the great and less great poems of Eliot. The voluminous annotations trace the sources, development, and context of each poem. Invaluable for researchers for its insights into Eliot's character and creative process, but also of interest to the lovers of Eliot's poetry to deepen their understanding of their favorite works.

This is an extraordinary annoted edition.For all of those who love the poetry of T.S. Elliot these two volumes are a wish come true.The authors combine scholarly emandations with interesting facts that literary students will love.I cannot extoll the virtues of these book enough.

Marvelous. Magisterial. Great to have one of English literature's most allusive poets so fully annotated. It makes revisiting the Old Possum a new engagement, especially when read beside Eliot's letters.

For an Eliot scholar, this is a "must-have" volume, as its companion; the annotations alone are worth the price.

Ricks's notes serve the poems superbly. The Eliot edition to own.
