awesome overlocker good budget but software succs
So my family double crossed me and now I have a 10850k on this board. I was a little anxious that the VRM wouldn't have the option to deal with that chip, yet fortunately that wasn't the situation. This board handles the 9900k at whatever MCE MSI runs fine and dandy. Great wind current keeps the temps on the board to 60 C or beneath. I still energetically suggest this board.I just assembled another apparatus and utilized this mother board. Since it actually doesn't have any audits to tell you what you're getting into here you go.Practically the Edge AC is equivalent to the Pro Carbon AC. It doesn't have the warmth sink over the lower M.2 or as much RGB, however all that else is actually the equivalent. The board runs quite well and cool. I have been pressure trying the computer chip without an overclock and watching out for the segment temps. With great wind current no segment got more than 50 C with the main exemption being the CPU obviously. The BIOS bodes well and is anything but difficult to explore in one or the other mode. You don't need for headers and ports, all things considered. At the highest point of the RAM openings White LEDs let you know whether your RAM is perceived, and a Red LED just to one side of those tells you initially on the off chance that you have XMP dynamic. There is a slight measure of RGB on the correct Edge of the board, yet it's so repressed you don't see except if you're searching for it. The construct nature of the board is excellent and it should keep going as long as you need it to. This is an extraordinary motherboard and I will be beginning overclock testing soon and will refresh this survey on the off chance that I discover anything new to report. To finish up, purchase this board in the event that you couldn't care less about blaze and simply need all the preformance and capacity of the Pro Carbon at $30 - $40 less cost.

Great performance with i5 10600K running Ubuntu Linux
I built a non-gaming powerful Linux PC using this MSI MAG Z490 Tomahawk, an Intel i5 10600K and 32GB of Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3600 (PC4-28800) C18 1.35V Desktop Memory. I run Ubuntu 21.10 with Linux Kernel 5.13. I use MSI XMP and sometimes I also use MSI Game Boost for the processor. This system is very stable and fast, without getting too hot. Be careful and check the clearances when you choose a CPU Tower Cooler, because there is not much room. I had to go back and purchase a Noctua NH-D15S to get enough room for 4 sticks of RAM. Note that although this motherboard is intended for a 10th generation Intel unlocked desktop processor, it can also be used with an 11th gen processor plus one 4th gen NVME drive. A very nice upgrade option.

The real deal!
Very Happy with my purchase! Motherboard showed up in pristine condition & the box was in great condition as well! Nothing was missing & it also came with a warranty! Amazon has always been my go to for PC products & has never let me down once! Make sure when buying that you have a LGA 1200 socket cpu & check compatibility! Other than that this board is amazing & has so many different features, I definitely recommend this for anyone who is learning how to overclock & is on a budget but still want's a good looking board!

Great tech support, and very durable
I have never built a PC before, but it was pretty easy thanks to this motherboard. It includes a manual with almost all you need to know in several languages, and if you can't find something the website is very user friendly. And if we're being completely honest here I even dropped the damned thing once and it turned out completely fine. The RGB is also very nice.

Easy to understand
My first pc build, I went with this motherboard because I liked the look of it and made sure to make all the other parts compatible with it. Needless to say it came out pretty alright. Its instructions were clear and very helpful throughout the build process and now that I have it working I can admire my handy work.

Great mid-range gaming mobo
This is a nice board for general gaming with the 11th generation Intel chips. It supports overclocking (I'm running the RAM at 3600 MHz) and has a very nice assortment of connectors. The RGB lighting is very neat and integrates well with my DEEPCOOL AS500 Plus. The MSI MPG Velox 100R case I got also works well with this motherboard. Each fan can plug into a separate fan connector for monitoring. The slots seem to be spaced nicely for larger GPUs.

Great motherboard, early onboard audio issues
UPDATE: Additional firmware and drivers have been released which seems to correct the audio issue below. If you still have issue with random loud static, visit MSI's support site to get the updates.First off, no issues with the board itself. The design is clean and it was easy to install and configure as expected from MSI.However, the onboard audio has some huge issues. The Realtek ALC4080 will randomly play a deafening static sound instead of the expected audio. There is a firmware update available from MSI but this as well driver updates do not seem to resolve the issue, as it's still happening once or twice a week at random. This is an issue that has been seen on other manufacture's boards like Gigabyte and ASUS that also use the ALC4080, just search for "realtek alc4080 static" for forum posts and videos.

Good Results with MSI Z490 Tomahawk Motherboard
The MSI Z490 Tomahawk motherboard installed and setup easily, and I had no complications. Be sure to check the DDR4 memory modules for compatibility at the MSI website to make sure they will work. Windows downloaded and set up everything, but I had to download and install a few drivers from MSI. I had to download realtek-pcielan w10, intel chip, intel network, and realtek audio. The 2.5 GBps ethernet LAN is super fast. Previously I had always purchased ASUS motherboards, but I decided to try MSI. I'm very impressed with MSI. The Z490 Tomahawk is A+.
