Seller is amazing
My first batch did not root. I contacted the seller and was not expecting him to refund me and send me more. God Bless you and thank you.

These were soggy upon arrival.
These came soggy right out of the box. I tried to plant them anyways. No roots yet and they are starting to mold. Waste of time and money. I ordered purple sweet potato and ginger from other companies at the same time and they are taking root perfectly.

Be patient, these are good!
We were having such fun growing ginger rhizomes we figured "why not turmeric?" We ordered these even though a lot of the reviews seem to complain about the quality, but they arrived in a sealed bag, there were a TON of them, and even though most of the "eyes" were off, I placed half of the bag in this long pot w/ some basic "container soil"… and then just put it outside. I tend to have good luck with plants and seeds when I "set and forget", lol, instead of being overly precious and doting. It took a while, probably 4 weeks, but through a pretty hot late-spring and early-summer, lo and behold, it started sprouting. I would say 90% success! We got a lot of rain this year, so the soil was more wet than not…but I did let it dry out a couple times, naturally. Anyways, we are excited to harvest these in a few months! And the plant itself is very pleasing & tropical. Contrasts nicely with other bushes in the yard, and our other porch potted plants. I'll probably end up planting some in the yard, and keep some in pots!

Looked great but...
The turmeric looked beautiful, absolutely beautiful but for some reason it never took sprout. Very saddened over this. I've grown turmeric before and had great success. I don't know what wrong With this batch, I did everything I normally do but I just did not sprout. I even dug up a few to look and see if there was a node starting and nothing and it's been enough time for it to sprout. I don't know if seller will replace, I have not asked him. I just can't for the life of me figure what went wrong.

Terrible Deception!!
I'd give it "0" stars if that were a choice. The Roots came in without the root sprouts. They were obviously shaved off. The tumeric was too nasty to even keep and eat.

Great for eating, not for planting.
Arrived with all the nodes carefully removed. Okay? Maybe the seller knows more than I do, so I planted some anyway. None managed to root properly, and I planted half the box. Which is a shame. It tasted great! Wonderful eating turmeric. I'll try again next year as at least it tried to root (and either way, I get a ton of tasty turmeric).

produced well
I purchased these late in the season. I knew I would have to let them finish indoors. They are getting close to harvest and they have grow like crazy. I will be purchasing more soon and start them indoors and finish early next fall. I anticipate a huge harvest based on the amount of plants produced by the previous starters.
