If I take medicine or supplement I want clear instructions. Having clear instructions of take 2 pills every 6 hours leads me to believe (perhaps incorrectly) that the manufacturer has done studies to determine the proper amount and timing of the use of the product.Here, reading the instructions, I felt like I was back on the hippie commune I grew up on - almost a "take what works for you" approach. From the instructions:Adults take 1 or 2 capsules before meals. Add 1 or 2 capsules after meals as needed. If digestive discomfort keeps you awake, take 2 capsules before bed. For food sensitivities, take 2 capsules each of Digestiv and AllerDX before and/or after meals.Reading this means the minimum (assuming three meals a day), is 3 capsules and the maximum is 14 capsules a day. That strikes me as a MASSIVE variance and perhaps the manufacturer has a reason for one person taking more than four times the capsules daily than another, but it leaves me feeling like I'm doing guesswork. I also note that the serving size is listed as 2 capsules, yet the recommended use is 1 or 2 capsules. I'm confused.I ended up playing it safe and taking one capsule with meals. While there was a bit of assistance with gas, i found it no more helpful than Beano, our traditional go-to when eating foods that cause us gas. I did not find it to help my digestion, but I did use only the suggested minimum.I received my packet in early August 2021 and the date stamp at the bottom (no indication of whether it is "use by", "best by", or something else) is August 2022. That lack of clarity, like the instructions, leaves me a bit concerned about the company's communication.

This Digestive Enzyme Supplement from Digestiv arrives in an interesting packaging. There are 12 resealable pouches, each containing 12 capsules. The capsules are like many other supplement capsules out there, and I had no trouble swallowing them. The directions area a bit loose, with suggestions to take 1-2 capsules before and/or after meals. Also, before bed, if wanted. So, it’s up to you, how often to take these capsules!The packaging reads that these capsules are to help support gut bacteria and aid in digestion. The ingredients, some are not too familiar to me, in how they aid with digestions, such as Honey Mushroom Mycelium, and Sprouted Millet Seed extract. The Digestive Enzymes, most I am familiar with. There are Alpha-galactosidase, Cellulase, Lipase, and Peptidase.Alpha-galactosidase - Can hydrolyze molecules in complex sugarsCellulase - An enzyme that breaks down cellulosePeptidase- Enzyme that helps to break down protein.Lipase – Enzyme that helps to break down fats.Each one of the enzymes is to help with digesting certain things, so it’s a thought-out combination. The capsules are easy to swallow, and I notice no stomach upset or anything from it. I already take different digestive enzymes, and probiotics, and I sometimes rotate them, so that may be why I don’t notice anything much from these capsules. The capsules seem to be made well, and the resealable pouches are nice for on the go.

Can't say I'm familiar with much of the ingredients in this product.Only know it sounded good and if it works as promised it will be beneficial to me.The ingredients in the product description are worded a little different than on the boxThere are three categories of proprietary blends.1. Enzyme blendAlpha galactosidase 400 GALUCellulase 2400CULipase 1500FIPPeptidase 7 LAPUDepending on your needs, one could go through this 12 packs very quickly.Here are 12 packs of 12 capsules each = 144 capsules. Expiration Aug 2022It's suggested to take 1-2 capsules before meals - 1-2 after meals and if needed 2 before bed.That could be 14 a day, however the product description seems to cap it at 10 daily.This is an expensive product no matter how you figure it.And here again is included the releasing agent magnesium stearateJust started this today so it's too soon to know if it works for me - sounds hopeful

.. i have a hard time digesting meats etc.. so ive used these ingredients b4 separately..now theyre all together..( i also tried hca supps and whoa..too much acid, hard to work with)I typically just take 2 after meal, but i like the option of adjusting the dose as needed..I usually with this brand try different dosings, then pick the best, then see if i can taper to the lowest effective..Since im good with 2 after hard to digest meals, i didnt find i needed 2 before etc..Ive liked everything ive used from them..they are a lil pricey, so while i love the fresh packs, i do buy bottles of the allergy one to save some money..I contacted for details on their products..They always reply swiftly with clear responses, i appreciate that..🌱Our raw ingredients are sourced in China and the US.
