I have been searching for a replacement to a pair of clippers I adored, wore out, then went to replace only to find out the newer product was a cheap imitation of the former model. I am now happy to say that I spent the afternoon in my tropical garden where I am constantly clipping everything from skinny tendrils to hefty branches and these new heavy duty shears have made me happy again. They are just the right size for my hand (mid-size-female) and have an easy un-locking feature that works like a charm. My only request is that you find a way to make the locking mechanism easy to do with one hand. Now today was my first day using them, so maybe I will learn how to finesse the closure part on my next day in the garden. Thank you for your great design!

I have personally purchased these shears and they do not perform ergonomically, nor do they provide the intended comfort for my weak hands as advertised. I expected more and remain very disappointed. There are other brands that might cost a bit more, but are worth every penny to help older folks like me who love to garden, but who also have very painful, arthritic hands.Incidentally - I cannot - and will not - take seriously any product review in which the manufacturer is directly involved by offering their product for free or at a discount. Shame on Amazon for allowing such a thing.I bought this particular set of shears at full price, without discount, and this is my honest, unbiased opinion!
